Hey everyone,
I’m joining the community today because I recently stumbled upon a major anomaly with a V1 Switch, and I wanted to share the data with the forum.
According to the definitive serial number tracking threads, XAW4001200000 is established as the absolute threshold where units become definitely patched. Anything beyond that number is widely accepted to be 100% patched.
Well, I have a V1 unit with the serial number XAW400124760XX.
That exceeds the "definitely patched" threshold by nearly 48,000 units. I have already fully verified it—it is 100% unpatched, vulnerable to RCM, and accepting payloads perfectly.
To rule out a simple case of a swapped shell or refurbished motherboard housing, I compared the internal serial number in the system settings with the sticker on the outside of the chassis, and they are a perfect match. Furthermore, the factory screws show absolutely no signs of wear or previous removal. I can happily submit photo/video proof of the hardware, serial matching, and successful payload injection if necessary.
I wanted to report this outlier to help update our collective understanding of the manufacturing transition windows, and to see if this is officially the highest confirmed unpatched XAW4 serial number reported on the forums to date.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
