I just got a new Vita TV.

Cleaned up all the contacts carefully with IPA, then connected it to a working Sony 5V 2A power supply.

Vita TV's power led comes on.
Nothing is on the monitor although it is connected to Vita TV via a working HDMI cable.

Vita TV's power led continues to light up but in a constant flashing fashion. On for a full second, off for a full second on repeat.

I tried connecting a dualshock 3 controller via usb cable and a dualshock controller via usb controller. None would have any effect to get an image on the monitor.

I tried holding the power button for various number of seconds (3, 6, 12, 15, 30, 60 and 90). So far, none has been able to display any form of 'reset' screen on the monitor.

Does anyone here have any experience working on, repairing or servicing a Vita TV?

Does anyone have board schematics of the Vita TV board( and not the Vita 1000/2000)?

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
So far, all the searches and research I have done are inconclusive and seem to hint that my Vita TV is in a constant standby mode.

This happens to me perioically when the SD2Vita acts up. But you booted without it, right? Also, any backstory leading up to this, symptom-wise?
It really was brand new? Its HDMI can also be fickle. Sometimes I get a blank 'gray' screen as opposed to 'No signal'.

Some console want a valid/working HDMI connection and refuse to boot without it.
Maybe your console has some loose pins on the HDMI connector.
That can happen when the HDMI connector gets hit hard or the device falls on the floor with the cable connected.
If you are handy, you can open the device and measure the connection with a HDMI breakout board and a multimeter.

You got the the safe mode procedure right (holding the power button down for 7 seconds).
This should make the vita go into the safe mode.

Also maybe try the device on a regular TV.
Some devices 'just' output a signal but others negotiate with the display and sometimes that fails.

Monitor - not a TV? Just making sure as PSTV needs HDCP compliant display. If monitor, what happens if you connect PSTV into a TV set?

//EDIT
Also the HDMI cable should be HDCP 2.0 compliant, any old - even working - cable won't cut it.
