Forza Horizon 6 leaks online after Steam preload data was uploaded without encryption

We are once again here to tell you about a game leaking before its release, but for once, it's not one published by Nintendo. The game files for Microsoft's upcoming racer Forza Horizon 6 made their way online yesterday after the Steam preload data was accidentally uploaded without encryption ahead of the May 19th release date.

Though you can play the game right now if you know where to look, it should be noted that some "early adopters" have reportedly been hit with a rather conservative 70 million hour ban from online play, locking them out until December of year 9999. As always I'll take a moment to remind everybody of the site's rules, and to neither request nor provide links to illegal content.

But to be relevant to the topic at hand...

If you don't know anything about Team10 (the devs behind Forza, well... let's just say they're not the most competent dev studio out there, especially on the community front, so them being dumb enough to let thier game leak this easily despite not having a physical format to have the game ripped from is right up thier alley.
....Just a minor, teeny tiny issue with this comment haha.... It isn't Turn 10, assuming that's who you meant when you said 'Team10' hehe, this is Playground Games, the Horizon series always has been, so the word 'relevant' seems a little moot here
(Bladexdsl making a useful comment though, agreed 100% on that one!)

...

I do get a slight feeling these are being leaked just to drum up a bit more interest... but the wife has bought me a copy already so I'll wait a few more days! Of more interest is the RT mode crushing everything bar a 5090 according to digital foundry, wounded... not that you've got time to admire the pretty reflections in a fast paced racing game of course...

Well, seems like steam rip is circulating now - 135GB though.....
Those damn sizes makes pirating games less appealing to me. Well, except Switch 2 as they'll still be smaller, but they're creeping up.

My Switch 2 is fully updated and I buy the games I want so it'll be years until I'd move to the pirate area whenever that'll be.

Well, those damn sizes are still cheaper than $70 for a racing game without racing.
