I bought a Louvre 3DSXL from the Chinese second-hand market. It can be boot without the "CTR Guide Boot Card".
This 3DSXL have a usable HOME Menu and Louvre Audio Guide in 7 languages.
It looks like a development unit, is it possible to run retail software?

Hi, I need help bringing this Louvre 3DS XL back to life. I bought it by chance (for spare parts) and had never heard of this type of console before. However, I'm very knowledgeable about repairing this type of console and had never seen this purple screen. So I became suspicious, did some research, and discovered that it was a rare console. Unfortunately, the micro SD card was lost, which is why it won't boot, while the original game cartridge was fortunately sent to me with the console. Can anyone provide me with the files needed to boot it?

You should be able to boot it simply by removing the boot cart, it should them boot into the standard home menu. We unfortunately can't provide the SD card files as they're all copyrighted

if i remove the boot card, console doesn't start. i know that this files are copyrighted, but without them I can't use it, so i wonder if anyone have a copy

It took me two minutes to find a link to the necessary files. As per https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-lou...ho-knows-a-thing-or-two.671978/#post-10731467 , one of them is named cgbl2.cia .

Or you can just use ntrboot.
where i can download it? i can't find the download link

weird, the louvre units I've had were all able to boot into the home menu
When I try to remove the micro SD card, the console displays a message: "micro SD card removed, press home to return to the initial screen". If I do as it says, the console gets stuck on a black screen. If I try to turn it on with the game card already removed, it displays a solid blue light but a black screen.

I have a unit in the same situation.
Normally, with the Audio Guide Louvre Old 3DS, you can access the Home Menu simply by removing the boot cartridge, but with this console, no matter what I try, the screen stays completely black and I can’t access the Home Menu.
However, one thing I do know is that this console has a feature called config.mode (DebugMenu, Settool, BeaconCheck), which allows you to change the boot method.
You cannot access config.mode on other Audio Guide Louvre Old 3DS units.
That console is likely different from other Audio Guide Louvre Old 3DS units.

Is there anything I can do to help you?
