Emulation Homebrew tico alpha 0.7.0 — GameCube and Wii now running on Switch (HOS), for the first time ever

I previously purchasd Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth on my old Wii, which has since broken. I now have a replacement Wii but can’t re-download the game due to the Wii Shop Channel closure.

I hope .wad files work on this soon.

The Sega Saturn games better than full speed ( higher resolution, ect ) and might have less input lag than the alternative methods. From my early testing at least.

Wondered about sega saturn too does sonic 3d blast run? Didn't see a sega saturn compatibility list. I tried a iso and chd version but both freeze after showing the intro video.

I can confirm that it freezes after the intro video on tico version 0.7.1

Where do I get the dolphin core? I'm installing the cores manually and can't find it anywhere.

You need to delete all of the cores and the .json file inside of your cores folder in tico in order to get the dolphin and any other cores that you are missing or need updated. Make a backup of the cores folder just in case. Found that out through the discord server.

As much as I like tico, I can’t say it will replace retroarch. I haven’t tried the sega saturn on this yet but I know it does a better job on that for the switch. I think if tico adds netplay, it might actually get n64 netplay.

Yeah, I'd say it's already worth using just for the Dolphin core alone, anything else is just a nice extra, but from what I've tested it seems that the Saturn and Nintendo 64 cores are the best ones on the Switch so far.

I keep my console offline, so I can't download the core through tico. Is there a link to download it directly? I searched the GitHub repositories, but there's no dolphin core.

If it is any help, here are some games I played that worked fine :

GAMECUBE
- Mario Kart Double Dash!!
- Mario Kart Double Dash!! Plus
- Mario Kart Double Dash!! Retro Track Grand Prix

WII
- Fortune Street (directional arrows were misplaced, I don't know if it's a game-related issue, I haven't checked my emulator settings sorry, that was just a quick test)

SATURN (as far as I can tell, chd files give the best results)
- Battle Arena Toshinden Remix
- Battle Arena Toshinden U.R.A.
- Suiko Enbu - Fuuun Saiki
- Saturn Bomberman Fight (English patched)

D-Xhird (2M version) crashes before starting a fight.

You just need to point your Tico directory and hit scan. For example, if your sd card is on E. Then put E:\tico (default directory).

I just want to know if Wind Waker is completely playable from start to finish. I've read Twilight Princess gets heavy slow downs on some areas, hopefully it gets better. Amazing work still to be able to do this on the Switch.
