i have no clue what could’ve possibly happened with my switch. it ran perfect before, but around two weeks ago it suddenly couldn’t access the internet (could still connect to wifi though). it could however connect to hotspot, so i assumed i had some weird outage and left it alone. then suddenly my joycons stopped connecting when disconnected from the switch, and hotspot no longer worked. i tried another joycon which could still connect fine, so i thought maybe the issue was my current joycons, but they connect fine on stock. the issue is solely on emummc, stock works fine (i don’t bother with sysmmc). i was just about to take the thing apart and check the antennae when i realized stock worked fine. i’ve updated my bootloader and nyx, messed with dns, messed with airplane mode, forgot networks and even initialized my switch to no avail. is there any fix im missing?

edit - fixed the joycons lol. still no luck with wifi

How did you fix the joy cons?

I'd guess the wifi module failed. And guess what? Bluetooth is the same chip. So if wifi stops working then it would explain why your Joycons failed.

The chip itself is soldered onto the mainboard of the switch. That means repair is impossible without proper equipment (BGA reballing station required which alone is insanely costly).

Since you are using emuMMC I would revert to stock OFW (boot from Hekate) and reinstall the switch firmware (you don't loose emuMMC, you can boot it later again from hekate). Then try again. If it works some sysmodule is conflicting on your emuMMC or there is some other error. If you are techy enough open up the Switch and check the wifi/bt antenna. If they are damaged (really unlikely) the signal becomes so weak that it will only work on very close approximation.

Repairing the wifi/bt chip is only viable by purchasing a new Switch motherboard - or - buying a new Switch.

I unpaired the controllers and then repaired them while running emu. No clue what was wrong but it worked lol

I appreciate the reply! I actually got it to work eventually, i was on 21.2 and updating my firmware to 22.0 fixed it.
