Developer Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco have revealed new details about The Blood of Dawnwalker, an open world action RPG set in a dark fantasy setting. Firstly, the following story trailer was aired:

The new The Blood of Dawnwalker story trailer introduces a cast of characters that game protagonist Coen will encounter on his journey: Some will become allies, others enemies, yet all of them play a crucial role in the game’s story. Rebel Wolves also showcased never-before-seen locations across Vale Sangora, a mysterious region in the Carpathian Mountains, and offered deeper insight into the creative process behind bringing the game’s open world to life.

In another video, the developers revealed over 10 minutes of gameplay footage captured on the most recent PC build. This focuses on narrative-driven open-world activities.

Players are shown how exploration can unlock new abilities, reveal hidden secrets, or introduce unexpected challenges that may alter the course of their journey. The gameplay also demonstrates how player actions influence the balance of power within the valley, reinforcing the game’s core principle: in The Blood of Dawnwalker, every action carries consequences.

Finally, the team finally revealed the release date for the game. The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 3. Pre-orders are now available for each platform.

That game looks really good. I love story driven games with a good atmosphere. It's not a secret that this game is very much inspired by TW3, but that's okay. Also no woke garbage or DEI shit in that game, which is a big plus.

Looks interesting, especially if the moral choice will be a prominent thing in the game. What worries me are the Hollow Knight colour scheme that looks similar in every scene as well as the rip off Witcher OST.
