Gen(erative) AI will always be rightfully shat on. If you're just having a thing gather you bunch of wrong code you have to tweak and sort through at the end of the day to actually make work and call it the easier solution, that's fine.I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't immediately shit all over devs who use it (homebrew or indie, especially), because you're going to be scaring away a lot of cool projects for no reason.

Almost nothing, according to you guys, is stopping entry and junior levels from making their own sloppy toppy projects and showcasing those on their own wix site or github and bullshitting how many years it took them to develop it. That's still the beauty of your com tech field. If a person can prove their understanding of level of coding you'd need them to do and show you similar projects to yours as a company, why wouldn't you hire 'em?For the most part I use AI as a tool, since I'm also a dev. What you have to think of, outside of our area, is people are using it as if it were their own brain, thus hampering the growth and development. That's where the AI hate comes from. For you in your position it's not really a problem, but in other areas it just floods them with slop.
Also junior positions are not really being offered anymore. How would we get more mid and senior positions without the start?
