I bought a used Nintendo Switch around 3–4 years ago and honestly I never really understood much about the modding side of it. Whenever the console fully shut down, I always had to use TegraRcmGUI on my PC to inject/start fusee.bin again.
Years ago, I was able to use Tinfoil and download a few things without problems. Now I wanted to start Tinfoil again, but I get the message: “The software could not be started.”
Unfortunately, I also played around too much in Settings > Album, and I think I may have accidentally updated Atmosphere or changed something important.
I also noticed under Album that the Tinfoil version installed there shows Installer Version 15.0, which is the same Tinfoil that was already on the console before.
Now:
Error Code: 2168-0002 (0x4a8)
Program: 010000000000100D
Firmware: 14.1.0
Atmosphere: 1.11.1-master-d04c20a04
After that, Hekate opens automatically. From there I can still boot back into the system by selecting Launch > sysMMC CFW.
So now I’m wondering:
Did I permanently mess up (“brick”) the Switch, or is there still a chance to fix this?
The games already installed on the console still work normally.
