Actually it's a placeholder. I started to re-create miiverse for switch but it takes a lot of time
Bit of advice on the miiverse... I wouldn't bother. I know what a head fuck that can be then you got the people who use it... 🫣

In relation to installing themes, how does this differ... Would we need to uninstall current themes back to stock first or is it just plug and play?

Could you make a tutorial or give an explanation? I'm trying to install it, but I can't seem to get it to work.

Pretendo already did that, why not use that in some way?

That being said, this looks amazing and I wish I had this many years ago.
As soon as you also get folders done (please tell me it's on your roadmap) I'll throw this on my OLED Switch.
Downside is probably that you have to update this for each new FW. Then again I don't bother currently, as I'm going to stay on 19.x for as long as possible.

Same question. I have a theme without "news" and my store icon works as home-brew launcher

Is it compatible?

And ultra hand overlay?

I like the grid for games maybe I don't need old Miiverse icons and other old references but the way that show the games and futurible folder would be awesome

Just as hbmenu replaced sphaira, I’m hoping for progress that allows this switchU to completely replace the stock home screen for CFW. I really hope it doesn’t end up as half-baked as uLaunch did in the past.
For now, I’m not a fan of the placement or appearance of the system app icons on either side, so I’d be thrilled if there were customization options. In any case, I absolutely love the idea of replacing the stock home screen. I’ll support this project until it becomes a truly practical home screen. If I have time, I’d like to translate it into Japanese.

It's an incredible piece of work, but it needs some adjustments, as it has internal system issues, such as opening the applet mode in Hbmenu or Sphaira, as well as some inconsistencies in the system configuration. Anyway, it's an excellent piece of work!

The potential for this is incredible. It would be the ultimate Switch menu. It would be amazing to add a feature where, when hovering over each game, a short background GIF of the gameplay plays in the menu.

I don't know if anyone else has encountered this issue, but trying to use this custom menu alongside the Tesla menu interface completely terminates the console's home menu and apparently many other critical processes; pulling out the tesla menu with the hotkey is fine, the problems begin when you actually select any of the options in the menu, which causes for the tesla interface to crash and not come up ever again, the home button is rendered completely useless too, and shortly after, many of the games where i tested this started showing strange behaviors that usually resulted in crashes.

For example, Xenoblade Chronicles DE completely froze upon removing the left joycon while in handheld mode (Probably due to the fact that this game always prompts the controller recognition pop-up thingy every time you connect or disconnect a controller), but it did not crash nor sent me back to the main console menu as usual, instead forcing me to manually restart the console using the power off button; in Animal Crossing New Horizons, the music of the Title screen stopped playing, and upon trying to start the game i was met with an eternal loading screen.

Weirdly enough the Quick menu that appears when you hold the home button still appeared and behaved as normal, and so did the power off menu (the one that appears when you hold the power button), the annoying part is, even though i can select the restart and shut down options they will just force the console into a softlock state, where the only solution is to hold the power button to force the console to shut off completely and then restart it.

All these issues seem to be related to Tesla's internal handling of the core Atmosphere UI, which this custom menu obviously changes a lot; hopefully this can be fixed eventually, since many of the best features that a modded switch has to offer are tied to the Tesla menu.

Im using Firmware Version 20.5.0 and Atmosphere 1.9.5

Report your issue to the Dev's GitHub as per their request. They will be away for 3 weeks apparently but thats the best place to report it.

Amazing job really. Great design, nice change from the regular menu. Reminds me a lot in tico and iiSU. Just give us a little more tutorial, please.
Is it possible to still open regular menu, just in case?
There should be a way to rearrange the icons or sort them automatically, I guess it'd be great to combine this internally with pico for general rom loading.
The icon loading is a bit slow sometimes.
Maybe in the future it can also hold homebrew apps directly. Your system has a high chance to be the new standard.
I hope you continue the promising project, good luck.
