This is my first texture pack, using a combination of AI upscaling and manual editing.
All main story chapters, Code Crimson missions, and codex entries have been upscaled.

Alt costumes for Class 0 are not supported, and eidolons are partially supported.
Some scenes, like the Unknown fight in ch1, have dumping issues. These are rare.

Tools used: Upscayl, Imagemagick, GIMP, basisu

Intended for use with the v2 English patch by Skybladecloud.

Using LunaMoo's 60 FPS cheat code is strongly recommended.

Download: From Archive.org (11.2 GB)
(The pack is in .ktx2 format using high quality UASTC compression!)

To install the pack, there are 2 methods - (Choose ONE):

  1. Open the zip file with PPSSPP as you would with an iso and receive an install prompt.
  2. Create a folder in PSP/TEXTURES named "NPJH50443" and extract the zip file there.
I've also uploaded a dump of the textures used in the pack HERE (1.4 GB)
at their original, unmodified resolutions for modding purposes.

Recommended Emulator Settings (non-default):
  • Graphics
    • Rendering Mode ->
      • Backend: Vulkan [OpenGL will not be enough]
      • Rendering Resolution: 4x PSP (1080p)
      • Antialiasing (MSAA): Off [AA causes severe performance issues]
      • Replace Textures [Y]
    • Texture Filtering ->
      • Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
      • Texture filtering: Auto Max Quality
      • Smart 2D texture filtering: [Y]
  • Display Layouts and Effects ->
    • Screen scaling filter: Linear
    • Postprocessing shaders ->
      1. Natural Colors (no blur)
      2. Color Correction:
        • Brightness: 1.10
        • Saturation: 0.85
        • Contrast: 1.20
        • Gamma: 1.25
      3. Bloom:
        • Amount: 0.50
        • Power: 0.40
(These shaders are just what I prefer. Feel free to change them.)

If you think you can handle it, try using MSAA x4 for better visual quality.

One of the off shoot games in the series not mentioned a lot so seeing you work on it is really cool. Never got a chance to play it but when your pack gets finished id love to try it out. Your preview images look very clean and sharpen what is already there. Keep it up and good luck :grog: .

I've just released a big new update! Now chapters 4-6 are finished, and roughly 75% of the game is done.
Thank you for the continued patience and support. The next update will probably be the big 1.0 release!
You can download the latest version from HERE! (archive.org)

The pack is finally complete! It's not perfect, but I hope it encourages more people to play this game.
My ultimate goal was to provide an alternative to the official HD release of Type 0, which I disliked.
Thankfully technology is in a place where one person can wish for something and have it come true.

I'm done working for now, but maybe I'll release another update with some minor improvements.

Nice to see this come to a good resolution. As you eluded to it gives me a reason to at least check it out even if I don't end up liking it cause i never hear anything about it. If you ever decide to try some other games id be interested as this came out well :grog: .
