I think that would be great, but I've been around long enough to understand that these things take time from people a lot smarter than me and a lot smarter than you.

The issue is that with each new console generation, people who have watched a few MVG videos expect that console manufacturers will continue to make the same mistakes they have in the past and that's not true. It's mass dunning-krueger. People feel like they have enough knowledge to make timeline estimates, or even worse, try to suggest novel ideas on what they think might work (my favorite is people suggesting to stick bits of metal in random places).

You are sitting here setting yourself up for disappointment and spreading outlandish ideas because you're trying to correlate events that aren't correlated.

Oh, we do. Very much we do. Doesn't mean we should be blind to what reality is. Much better to not expect something and be surprised, than to expect everything and be disappointed. Moreover, this kind of delusion is what developers hate the most. Expectations that can't be met. You aren't the first to think this. I've seen many people try to grasp at the smallest straw they could get, and when they get told that they shouldn't expect anything, they become dismissive and refuse to see the truth. If you really do want to learn whats going in the scene and how experts see the switch 2 system, join the reswitched discord and read the months worth of discussion of it.
If you can't do that, then keep quiet. You aint helping anyone.

no, what I only learned with the XboxOne is that no console is really unhackable as they often say out there and, like, the method used was the voltage attack, which is not possible on the Switch 2, but still, if it's not via hardware, it'll be via software or another method

I don't know how long it will take, but with today's technology, plus the help and assist of AI, it might not be long and I hope I'm right

After decades of "this console is unhackable" and "oh look, the unhackable console got hacked", there are still people who believe that the Switch 2 will never be hacked? Either they are REALLY misinformed, or they are just trolling around.

It will probably be hacked later on, I personally just hope that it is not hacked within the first couple of years, ideally only by the time it's at EoL.

Mainly to annoy people who keep on whining about Nintendo games, but want to play them.

Actually, it depends on you.
If you want to play the games that are on a single console, then you either play it on that or you don't play them, not more to it.

The thing that's bothering (at least for me) is the fact that it looks like you feel like you are entitled to play on the conditions you want and not on the conditions the MAKER/PRODUCER/OWNER of the games decides.

I remember the old days when you bought like 1~4 games for the whole life of the console and that was it.
There was no "I am a SEGA gamer and I want to play Mario games, I expect the games I want to be on my console.", it was "you don't have a Nintendo? Bad luck, you don't play."

That's the normal thing to do.
I own all platforms including a PC and a Steam Deck, I never considered myself a PC Gamer or anything like that, I play games because I like them, regardless of brand (although I prefer handhelds).

You just want free games and are whining about it and it's for those types of things that I do hope it takes a while, even if just to annoy people.

I was being facetious but regardless, video games aren't food or shelter. You either find a way to come up with the money or you accept that you can't play. That's how it's worked for milenia.
