respectfully, its that last one. The files are common

We can't share them here or point you in the direction as that is considered distributing warez since its copyrighted content
Everyone says the cert files are easy to find yet I cannot find them except in the carts I own. I have yet to find th anywhere on the internet.

i didnt ask for piracy. i ask if its possible for research purposes only. i dumped my carts and i lost the dumper and the certs files. im dumb :ninja:
"Research purposes" that's clearly a lie as you have a banned console and want to play pirated games on it. Come on, I pirate games, movies, and shows and am not gonna say "I only acquire them for research purposes." 🤣

Have you tried this?
Not personally but other users reported that this works. As long as you have the base XCI file and its unique initial data BIN file, the rest of the files can be taken from a donor cert. This will be enough for the game to start. So far I've been using my MIG Switch flashcart filled with full dumps of the games that I personally own only and had no issues so far.

Can anyone confirm that donor certificates protect you from getting banned?
On the contrary, they will get your console banned. Using donor certs should only be used if your console is already banned or you don't mind getting your console banned.

If you don't want to get your console banned, you should only use full dumps of the games you physically own that you know for sure no one else dumped (i.e. you might get banned by dumping and using a used game dump unless you're 100% sure that whoever owned it before you didn't dump it).

That can be quite the concern now with pre-used games. You just never know if they've been previously dumped by somebody else and is still being used online.

Yes, but the probability of that happening is very low. Most just sell because they're done and want some money back from it.

Just a side note, The Repo and the keys are available in wayback machine.
ZIP file cannot be downloaded-I tried. Seems like somebody didn't properly archive it.

True. The likelihood of anyone being banned from using games bought second-hand is an understatement due to coming from one source (likely Discord or Twitter), which caused a massive overreaction and outright false information, which is combined with the so-called Switch 2 console bans.

The MIG Switch and its clones alone are still incredibly expensive; prices are all over the place, and not many people can afford them. As to what others have said, so long as you dump the games that you own, you won't be banned; Nintendo cannot tell the difference between an original game cartridge and a MIG Switch. They can only identify the contents of the game as to whether it has valid certificates and the ROM data. You can only get banned if the certificate was from a donor game that doesn't match or was previously banned as the system keeps a log for how many games you have played.

I got mine off of Aliexpress for like 40 bucks. Works great.
I paid 50 quid for mine off AliExpress. Did not come with a cartridge label, however, but I might print one out. I've made a label template for this very purpose. Just realized that I do not have a way of dumping my own carts, so I had to pay extra for the dumper, as well.

Thanks that was the first place I looked. Didn't know they hide the listings now. Makes sense. Not sure if I could trust it tho. My luck I would actually get a deck of cards. Lol then how could you dispute that.
People have received their MIG flashcart in one of these if you look at the reviews of other products with the same thumbnail. But, other than that, I can tell you that it is legit. They do this to not get their listings taken down. Still, I think this is very funny with how it was packaged like that.

I wouldn't call them incredibly expensive. If people can afford a Switch game, they can afford a Mig.
But then that also applies to buying the games to dump, and the cost varies on whether the games have been used or brand-new which can go for quite a bit. Attempting to find already dumped games that makes use of the MIG alone requires visiting sketchy ROM sites which may or may not have working downloads.

My main purpose is to use it to dump games that I own and play them on my Switch and buy games second-hand then return the originals. The Switch Lite that I am using is always offline and that I'm not going to use the Switch 2 in case my account gets flagged suddenly as that has happened to a few or so people; often from playing games with missing certs or certs that have been from a donor or pirated game.

Exactly, such is the cost of playing games legally ;) IMHO, the Mig is actually shadier and harder to find than dumps.
