Where is a good place to buy a Mig flash cart? Preferably Canada, but USA that ships to Canada would be ok. Everywhere I've looked seems to be shut down, or listings removed
I've purchased mine a while ago from AliExpress and it works just fine. Check this post for hints on how to find them.

Can I:
- Dump a SW1 game from a SW2 version cart (lets take pokemon ZA for instance).
- Put it on a Mig Switch
- Use this file on a SW1?
- Use this file on a SW2?

I understand no SW2 'update' data will be there, that is NOT the question.
I want to dump my SW1 version, for use on a SW1 via mig.

I spent a couple hours digging for this, and while I have seen people report success dumping the game. I saw no one talk about running it ban free on mig.
Not working (on my tests):
From the sw2 version cartridges you can't get all the certificates.
Midgumptool will error when trying to read the cartridges (an error inherited from nxdumptool that was set there so the author would get warnings if an area of the cartridge was suddenly populated).
Nx-dumptool (older versions) was not able to retrieve all the certificates needed for the switch 1.
You can actually dump the game (obtaining the xci) but as far as I know, not all the certificates (haven't tried newest versions of nx-dumptool).
When I tried with older versions I was unable to retrieve the "Initial Data" certificate.

What you can do is dump a sw1 game cart and use it in a sw2 with a downloaded upgrade kit.
Keep in mind that the sw2 cartridges have a different "layout" than the switch 1 ones and that the switch2 version ones also have an area that can only be read properly with a switch 2, therefore you might not be able to copy it correctly with a switch 1.

Thanks that was the first place I looked. Didn't know they hide the listings now. Makes sense. Not sure if I could trust it tho. My luck I would actually get a deck of cards. Lol then how could you dispute that.

Has anyone had issues with their MigDumper recently not being able to dump latest release games? The .xci folder does not appear.

I think the game in question (just released) has some new form of copy protection potentially. Neither the MIG Dumper, MigDumpTool, or the latest NxDumpTool can seem to dump my cartridge.

Likely needs an update if you email MiG they might fix it

But idk if they actually respond anymore or care. When things first released they where pretty good at responding to be within 72 hours via their website form and had pushed out bug fixes

If that the troid game... it can be dumped from the switch 1 with the different tools.. just that the dump won't work with the migflash. The migdumper won't either recognize the game (therefore wont be able to dump it either).
Could it be because of the size of the game or a new protection... who knows... just sucks having to carry the original cartridge if travelling :rofl2:

The contact us section of their web doesn't even work any longer, as it will always return an error if you try to message them with anything.

This was the info I was looking for! Thank you!
I'll hunt down the NXDumpTool forums and query there.

Do you know if it is safe to use a up-to-date mig on the SW2?

I'm using mig with fw 1.2.2 with my own dumps on the sw2 so far without bans. How safe it is? can't tell for sure, as Nintendo might release something one day that drops the axe... but so far so good.

Yep it is droid prime 4. Wasn’t sure if I was allowed to mention the game specifically by name here. Yep it is my legit cart. Just carry the original for now. I tried the contact form for mig flash and yep error

You re not the only one on that boat :) .
I travel often and between laptops/console/luggage/other stuff, I try to keep as much away from having to carry the cartridges too (losing them during the trael wouldn't be fun, and the more you carry, the easiest is to lose something).

Most games I've tried haven't worked because it requires online, sometime even to load up the game. Is there a fix?
