Highguard servers to close just months after the game's initial release

Originally introduced by Geoff Keighley with much enthusiasm at last year's Game Awards, it's been recently announced that the Highguard servers will be shut down on the 12th of March. The studio behidn the game, Wildlight Entertainment, explain this is due to being unable to establish a sustainable playerbase. Before the shutdown, the team will be releasing one final update, including a new Warden, weapons, account level progression, and skill trees. If you've yet to give the game a go, it is free to download on Steam, PS5, and the Xbox Series consoles, and will remain available fans and newcomers alike for its last days.

Remember, this game had the backing of Tencent, and had Geoff Keighley shill it on the game awards FOR FREE, and yet that didn't stop the game from having it's fate sealed as Concord 2.

I can't wait for Marathon, the recent Horizion MMO, and Fairgame$ to become Concord 3, 4, and 5 by the originator of the first Concord.

I genuinely hope they flop so Sony learns to focus on what players really want.
