Hello there,
A friend brought me their 3DS XL, they told they wanted to update the hack on it. They probably followed some old youtube video to hack it.
When I copied the latest Luma file to CTR NAND and updated the console it would not boot.
The blue light would turn on for a moment and then off. I tried everything but the only way to bring it back to life was using Magnet HAX. I restored it to a working state. Everything work it can play 3DS games and all.
The only issue now is that when she boots up a original NDS game or and NDS game with TWilight MEnu ++ the touch inputs don't work at all.
In the Twilight menu ++ menus it works perfectly and in 3DS mode too.
I checked if the Cameras were okay and they both work and can read QR codes in FBI.
I tried to run TWL fix and wiping the whole DS mode as indicated in this Guide.
I read that for some people a complete format of the system fixed the issue.
How can I do this and not lose any of her save data and System set ups and Street pass data?
Is there another way to fix this that I haven't found?
