When trying to go play Pokemon Platnium, I got a strange communication error before I could load my save. After some research and checking Soul Silver, i got the same error. After checking that my SD card was not corrupted through H2Testw, and suddenly my 3DS staring to crash on the homescreen with the error ErrDisplay, I can only conclude that my Wifi chip is going bad.
I am someone with little to no experience with messing with hardware. I hear that reseating and/or replacing the Wifi chip is not very hard, but should I try and replace it myself as someone who has never openned a 3DS before? Additionally, my 3DS is Japanese. Is there a specfic Wifi chip I need to purchase?
