Good morning, I'm requesting help with a problem I haven't been able to solve, and perhaps an expert can help.

I'm Mexican, so I speak Spanish. I bought a Nintendo DSi in Japan so I could play Nintendo DS games in their original resolution, since my 3DS upscales them, resulting in a loss of quality.

The problem is that when using my R4 with European games, I thought I'd keep them in Spanish, but because of the console's region, they appear in English by default. Apparently, my R4 Gold Pro doesn't have an option to force games to launch in my language, so I started looking for a way to do it, but I haven't found any websites with a solution.

I'd like to know if it could be fixed by changing the R4's firmware or using Twilight Menu. Some might think I should just play them in English or resign myself to continuing to use my 3DS, which is a valid option, but if there's a way to fix it, that would be great.

To be clear: you were using this R4 with your 3DS and the games were in Spanish, and now you're using the same R4 in your DSi and the same games are coming up in English?

There are many ways..
Using any nds-bootstrap frontend (e.g. TWiLightMenu++, akmenu-next).
You can change game language in TWiLightMenu++/akmenu-next settings.
.
Or
Install Unlaunch on DSi, using hiyaCFW(EUR / USA) start flashcart.
You can change language(Español) in hiyaCFW System Settings.
.
Or
Change DSi NAND region to EUR / USA, using OGSystem start flashcart.
You can change language(Español) in OGSystem Settings.
.
And so on..

Japanese DSi removed the system language selection. Even though standard DS games lack regional lockout, certain titles can only be played in Japanese. (or if that's not available, fall back to English as a default)

I was under the impression that it was extremely rare for a game to have complete Japanese and English scripts on the cart. And that multilanguage carts (Last Window comes to mind) had their own manual language selection at bootup.

From memory, it's games like Sonic Rush that will be stuck in Japanese.
