We have switched to a new ad network. Please use this thread to report any browsing issues specifically caused by ads on GBAtemp.

Most ads include a "Report Ad" button so please use it to report any issues with ad content. There's no need to post about it on the forums, as we'll just direct you to that button.

Also, please keep in mind that these ads arent there just for the fun of it. We need revenue to keep servers going, to allow some staff to get (small) payments to keep the site alive, and giveaways, contests etc.

i mean technically it is, but can't you make it a different color to make it more regonizable?

This is an example of what I’m getting, ads in between posts and the bottom white ad is always there. I also get a small random video that appears out of nowhere off to the right, halfway down the page that I keep having to close,

I’m not familiar with which ad blocker is good (and free) or if there is some other way that these can at least be reduced. I totally understand that a site may need revenue but the ones in this forum have been quite irritating, to say the least. I’d like to be a part of this community and contribute but it’s just very off putting when I have to fight ads just to post.

Can something please be done about these scam ads? GBATemp is the only site on which I constantly get ads about a "new magical powder that can make you lose 50kg in 3 days".

Other dishonorable mentions include:
- Temu bullshit spam
- Ads that deliberately title themselves shit like "Complete your order"

Now I have an additional video AD that makes the site near unusable. May you please disable it?
 
I was wondering if a feature couldn't be implemented where whenever someone posts a keyword, say, Play-Asia, it gets linked to something like play-asia.com/ref=gbatemp - this way, gbatemp gets a cut of whatever the user buys later [at no cost to them] since a referral cookie gets saved.

Of course, Amazon, etc. will have to take the user's IP into account to determine the exact domain [.com, .co.jp, etc.] but they should also work.
 
@Admins when you fix this shitty ad that's breaks the forum?

Maybe you can't do anything about all these sketchy/scammy ads, but could you at least please do something about the AI slop? I don't want to see AI slop at all - not in posts, not in advertising.
