hello!!

after a ton of searching for weeks on end, I can't seem to find a satisfying answer to the issue of controller setup for playing Wii & Gamecube games on my hacked Wii U. i've so far tried the more common methods below:
- running games off an external HDD using the Wii U's vWii and USB Loader GX (also tried Fakemote for some Wii games but honestly we'll prolly just get another proper wiimote and nunchucks for those cases since that'll be easiest for our use case)
- running Gamecube games in vWii homebrew out of Nintendont
- running vc injects of both Wii and Gamecube games off of the Wii U side of things, unfortunately this didn't work with Bloopair to support using more than one controller/gamepad

I'd honestly like to condense everything to the main Wii U menu if possible. right now i have things set up solely on the hacked vWii/USB Loader method, and from what i've read it looks like there may be forwarders for both Nintendont and/or USB Loader. but ideally i'd also be able to use a combo of the gamepad & bluetooth controller for the Wii/Gamecube games, or else just multiple bluetooth controllers.

another thread i was on had using one of 8BitDo's retro receivers plugged into their Wiimote as an option, so we may try that for the Gamecube games, which are turning out to be the biggest compatibility hurdle atm.

i was wondering if anyone else had any ideas/suggestions/things that have worked for them?? i'd really appreciate any other ideas!!

Mate, the controller setup of the Wii U's vWii is the sinews of war of the Wii U (imo).
That's the only single thing that stop the Wii U to completely replace a Wii in a house. However I can't help you I'm in the same boat, I really would like to use the GameCube controller USB adapter to play Wii games that are supposed to be natively compatible with, or use the Wii U pro controller to play on vWii as a classic controller, but unlike this one, it is an actual controller which doesn't need a wiimote and has a battery, I made many researches for years but the Wii U hacking scene is pretty small compared to others like the Wii.

If you want the true answer for this, you need to look at Blueretro Wii-EXT adapters to use a Bluetooth GameCube conteoller (like the new one for Switch 2 that just came out) working in vWii. It's not in the Wii U ecosystem, but it emulates a Wii Classic/Pro controller when plugged into a Wiimote. And at least you can control it to get to vWii or whatever forwarders you have. I have a restart app in my vWii zHomebrew Channel and a shutdown app in my Wii U menu, which is very handy if I'm very lazy. You can see my post all about my journey about this below

But unfortunately the device I was promoting is not being sold anymore. There is a site that sells it currently, but they are a shady company and I don't like promoting their products. But give it a read and do some looking. It works great on my vWii, I have pretty much all Bluetooth controller (between 8bitdo and NSO controllers) up to N64. It's pretty great.

Thanks but that's the all point, I don't want to use a GCN controller and the console think it's a classic controller and show to the screen a CC button layout. For those games compatible with both, the button layout are different. For example many GC controller make you "punch" with A, bc on GCC it's natural. But with a CC you would punch with Y, as it's the left button of a modern controller layout like square on PlayStation. But with those adapter you will punch with Y with the GCC...

Semi-related to OP.
Nintendont supports gamepad, but USB Loader GX (SD mode) doesn't.
Why is that?
