I want to make a retro portable harvester out of a 3DS. I read about cases where people bricked their cartridges because they installed the wrong firmware. ysmenu and TwiLight++ according to the sources I've read can cause bricking. Can someone select the firmware for my console and cartridge? I most likely have a clone of the cartridge, since it was purchased from Ali

This cart should work Twilight Just fine. I own a pile of these carts and all of them work with Twilight and YSmenu
Please tell me which guide with my configuration I need to follow and remove the old cartridge firmware? That is, can I format it?

You don’t need to remove anything. Just copy the files from the Twilight folder into the root of the SD card. Just follow this guide
I'm confused in this guide because I don't understand whether I need to download YSMenu or not and how to install it? Will the menu change and do I need to autoload Twilight and can I skip this step? How can I launch games then? R4(i)RTS (use the M3Real_M3iZero YSMenu files) what does it mean? Should I download this firmware? Sorry for so many questions, I'm just not well versed in this topic.

Follow the guide.
The files you will need for your cart will be in the folders “autoboot” and in “ R4i-SDHC, r4isdhc.com cards 2014+, R4i SDHC Upgrade Revolution, R4DSiXL3D, R4i Advance, R4-IIIi, R4 SDHC Revolution, R4(i) Pocket, R4i Gold (v1.4.1) (3DS) & R4xDS.” In that folder, copy over the “R4.dat” and “TTMenu.dat” into the root the root of the microSD card, along with the other Twilight files.
You don’t need the M3 files or really Ysmenu. If you want Ysmenu for rom loading as well, this page has a guide for that and the files you need

Translator translates badly. I do not need Ysmenu, But what can you install it for? For what?

And one more thing: is there a chance of the console itself breaking if the files on the cartridge are placed incorrectly? Is it possible to install games that have been translated? Let's say I install a game with a translation into Russian or do I need a firmware console for this?
