This mod will definitely tank performance. ReverseNX-RT won't give you native 720p/1080p though.

So you're comparing two different things.

May I ask, with the portable 720p patch, will the game run 720p docked also?

You mean this variant? it only set handheld mode to 720p, docked mode defaults to 810p.

Could you please please make a resolution patch for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch? It looks so horrible on Switch, I can't enjoy it and I have searched everywhere but no one has made a res patch.. don't know if maybe it's too hard to make these patches though

I tried forcing 1920x1080, but the resolution values seems to be overwrote by another function.

Rendering at odd resolution. 1080p scales weirdly on a 1440p monitor. I was able to do it on Fire Emblem Engage which also featured dynamic resolution scaling. I was wondering if this game also had that XML tag where the min-max scale can be manipulated.

Here's the opening post mod for adapted 1.0.0 of the Japanese release. That is, title ID = 0100B880154FC000.
For the 1.0.2 of the Japanese release, you can use the 1.0.2 mod from opening post, since 1.0.2 JP and USEU have the same main files.
Oh and the 1.0.2 handheld only version on page 2 will also work on JP, of course.
