I installed Alien Isolation and v1.1.3 update, which is not the most recent one, v1.1.4 is!
I don't want the update v1.1.4 though, because i'm trying to run 60FPS mod that works only with update v1.1.3 and so i installed v1.1.3

The problem is that when i start the game, the pop up tells me to eather update or cancel, no start the game button or to not show me the pop up at all,
and so, i cant play the game because it forces me to update it first.
I should mention that i am on emummc and i never go online on nintendo servers, and dns is also blocked.
I should probably also mention, if thats relevant, that i already installed the game once few month ago with v1.1.4 update, tried it, and deleted it.
But now when i try to install it again but this time with older update, i can install but i cant run the game.

Is there a way to skip this nagging pop up and go into the actual game?

P.S. My guess is that switch knows i had installed the newer version and now it knows im using older one and wont let me use the older one. Not that it matters what i think but that crossed my mind. Its probably stupid anyway lol

Thanks!

That's correct. This is to prevent using save with older version of game because it may not be supported.

You can use DBI to "Reset Required Version". It will still show popup about installing newer update, but you will be allowed to run game anyway.

To completely remove nag it is necessary to manually edit some file in nand system save. So it's invasive.

Oh... i was right?! lol Ok x)
what is nand system save? as long as it wont brick my switch, im willing to do it, and by the way, im not sure if i have save file, but i gues i do, but i dont care about it at all. Will deleding it resolve the issue of nagging pop up (again, stupid question)?

As for nagging pop up that wont let me play, ill try that with DBI right now! (hope its easy enough, i dont wanna mess something lol)

Thanks by the way!

That's fine, you helped a lot already, i was just saying... don't worry~
Anyway, you mean it CAN brick in sense that if i touch something that i'm not supposed to, or regardless?

I mean its not a big deal, minor inconvenience, but it be nice if nagging can stop.

P.S. I mean ill wait patiantly till you create 60FPS for 1.1.4 version (if ever) than it wont nag haha

This or you edit this file containing info about updates wrong. Switch hates any exception in reading system saves.
But what if i just delete the save file, will that stop the nagging popups? (stupid question again lol)

Oh, it doesnt nag at all now! But now i cant see FPS suddenly for some reason at all using status-monitor overlay.... thats weird... It was working.
And in mini mode the fps field is completly missing.

You can't see the FPS value for Alien Isolation because the game is one of the rare few that doesn't support Status Monitor because it does weird things. You can see the list of incompatible games with NX-FPS and SaltyNX as a whole here.

Hahaha alright than :D
So SaltyNX needs to be fixed to be compatible with the said game than i guess?
If rewriting whole code can be called "a fix", then yes.
SaltyNX was never intended to be used outside of Smash, but I have reused it for other games. SaltyNX relies on hacks that are slightly invasive and games sensitive for those changes are giving up.
And I don't plan to rewrite it, I even don't know fully how SaltyNX works. I have only some general idea how it works and that it's not using OS API, but direct kernel calls to inject code. Which is invasive.

Yeah, i thought fix means some small change...
Didn't realize you are the one who made Salty... Ok than, first hand info, wont get my hopes high than! Thanks! :)
By the way, when you say invasive, does that mean its safe to continue using it or what do you want to say in that regard?

DBI is awesome. You can find it on 4pda forum or here.

I have a list of installers that I use regularly. You can find it and many other toys by clicking my signature block.

You can use a homebrew app called "Goldleaf" to get rid of game update nag also. Good luck!
Good to know, thanks a lot!
