of course, i was just saying that because of dinoh recommending a cpu swap, which recommends that anyway. i was just adding that theres no point in committing to a CPU swap unless its a zero fuse
I know this is an old thread, but i'd like to add that, at that point, you might as well use a zero fuse CPU which defeats the need of any further modifications by using virtual fuses. from that you can run anything without needing to RGH
ok nice. I'm guessing the same goes for glitch chips then, so judging by that I'm assuming I shouldn't have the programmer plugged in while I'm booting. thats 100% the kinda thing that I would do so thanks for the warning lmao
any risks with buying a cloned one? It has lots of good reviews but I'm still really wary about killing my console as I've been fixing it up and preparing to mod it.
main reason for asking is because the packaging looks out of place compared to the coolrunner packaging and everythign else, and someone (I think dinohscene) mentioned in a different thread that knockoff chips can kill consoles. On that topic, what are the risks if my coolrunner is a knockoff...
getting ready to rgh 1.2 my jasper v1 and just need to get a jr-programmer v2 and I found this one fairly cheap on aliexpress, it is real/the correct one?
im guessing i probably wont get good results using old stuff like a jr-programmer on my AMD based Windows 10 64 bit pc, both based off experience with very delicate utilities that rely on USB controller and other posts on this site. So should I prepare a win7 32 bit install on another PC? or can...
If you're ever looking for a modded 360 I'd recommend going for jasper and newer because they are significantly less likely to RROD. Not sure how effective slim modding is but if it's just as good as phat modding then of course go for a modded slim of some kind.
When it comes to a choice between a Matrix and a coolrunner, which one would be better for a jasper? I've seen people say they're both about the same, but surely theres some kind of difference between them? Like which ones easier to use? Which one has better success rates?
And also, I've been...
I've been scouring the vast interwebs for 360 RGH resources and always see people talking about how routing coolrunner cables over a noisy bus can interfere with it. Could this not be solved by using some sort of insulating metal tape (of course with some electrical tape over it to stop it from...
Thanks. My issue is that I also can't easily find an affordable NAND-X or JR Programmer. I managed to pick up my (probably knockoff) coolrunner for about £2 but JR Programmers and NAND-Xs sell for anywhere from £15-£30. I don't mind ordering from china.
Dual NAND also sounds cool, do I need a...
I've been searching and can't find much on this. I don't mind soldering (In fact I ordered a coolrunner yesterday because I found it cheap) and I'm using a Jasper.
So what's the best option for me? My main goal is freestyledash with xexmenu to run homebrew/modded game builds.
EDIT: I'll also...
