    Hacking Acekard cart firmware

Is it possible to flash the ak2 (not ak2i) with a copy of it's firmware? I have a faulty ak2 that I've received a while back, which corrupts the filesystem on any write - which is possibly a firmware problem - not akaio, or the official "firmware" but the firmware that's on the cart itself. I've...

Hacking Pokemon Platinum and framerate issues

I know savsender (google it) can, it works over wireless... perhaps it isn't the easiest thing to use if you aren't sure how to use it, but it works. As for people swarming to other carts because of these slowdowns, that's silly. The acekard is great, cheap, and the slowdows in this one game...

No, you aren't the only one - there is a very slight slowdown compared to my real copy of diamond.

    Hacking Dear AKAIO dudes.

Sorry for bump, but it'd be great if one of the AKAIO devs, smiths/norm could reply to this... These seem like useful features to have, and from my completely uninformed perspective seem doable.

    Hacking Dear AKAIO dudes.

Well, what I figure regarding the backlight, is that if they can hook keys to soft reset using the global patching option, they should be able to do the same for backlight, ni? As for the download play thing, the PassMe function of the acekard, if I understand correctly, just sets the program...

    Hacking Dear AKAIO dudes.

So, AKAIO is great - but I have some questions/suggestions for it's devs: 1. Does the new DMA-quick/save/whatever mode use up power quicker than the old DMA did? It seems like it might be... 2. Can there be an option to choose which you want to use by default? 3. Is it possible to make a global...

Hacking How did the FAT corruption thing present itself in 2.0s?

Just lifted the sticker to be sure: no chip, light green pcb, new spring-less; clip-less shell.

Hacking How did the FAT corruption thing present itself in 2.0s?

Nope, there's no chip sticking out or anything. But they aren't the forest green ones, as I got one of those for comparison. These PCB's are *light* green... But, the problem seems to be with just that one cart, it seems to be writing to the microsd improperly... I've written to DX about it...

Hacking How did the FAT corruption thing present itself in 2.0s?

I'm not getting the text "FAT ERROR", I'm not using an sdhc microsd (2gb kingston, jap) and I am formatting with the panasonic formatter. It seems that one cart is corrupting the __* folder... It's pcb is light green...

    Hacking write protect akaio

Your problem seems very similar to mine (see the topic I just made) after using my acekard, the __ak2 or __aio folder, whichever I'm using either becomes empty or inaccesible/corrupted, while the other ones are perfectly fine...

Hacking How did the FAT corruption thing present itself in 2.0s?

I received five ak's from DX today. One was the old shell, dark-green (forest green?) pcb while the other four were the new shell (non-spring loaded, not clipped), light green pcb. I'm suspecting that those four may be old AK 2.0s that have been referred to on these forums as "fixed". The...
