    I agree regarding having access culture and education, but don't mix up gaming with culture and education. And also don't feel entitled to things you don't fight for. It's laughable to put gaming as something that should be accessible to everybody but still complain so little at the disaster that is the education and health system in America and how that is what one should be complaining about and fighting for.

    @sarkwalvein im always complaining about education, health and the justice system. Im an active voter EVERY election not just presidential but gaming, movies, TV and books ARE a part of our shared culture and YES people should have access to gaming. A person can complain about multiple things at once.

    Switch 2 basically vindicates the path I'm on with Steam Deck. I make my own physical games using full sized SD cards. Buying a game on PC, buying the appropriate sized SD card for said game AND installing that game to the SD card is STILL cheaper than buying a Switch 2 game. 🤦🏿

    Furthermore the shitty mentality of whining about low end hardware "holding us back" has now permeated the damn VR segment. People bitching about Quest 2 because they feel like it's holding 3 back. Can we let people get started with VR first? Fuck!! 🤷🏾

    High end hardware ruined software, not only games. Just compile a Hello World with a modern devkit. That executable might end up being bigger than the whole Zelda III ROM!
    Ren'Py made my 2018 low end Windows tablet become warm for showing text and static images while playing music.
    Low end hardware is not the problem. Wasteful programming is. F... Bloatware!

    It's like developers forgot how to be creative. Previous platforms and consoles had masterpieces made for them and yet "low end" (by today's standards) hardware gets shit on when granted most of it is still more powerful than the PS3. I don't get how developers act like they can't make a decent Switch or Quest 2 game when you have masterpieces running on hardware weaker than said devices. It's all a load of bullshit.

    @SylverReZ you're right. The shit is scary. These kids are being taught to be drones. That ownership is wrong and that it's OK to live in a rental society where meaningful human connections are "creepy". It's fucking sad. I feel like the last of a kind.

    The state of modern gaming is SHIT! Can we PLEASE go back to PS4 level graphics without the need for all of these extra shaders, heavy reliance on shadows, ray tracing and upscalers?!?!

    I think part of the issue is the artificial need to move forward instead of just letting everyone at up and improve the tools we have now. The blame goes to both the developers and the gamers that refuse to realize that graphics have plateaued. Good enough is good enough and the average person couldn't give two shits for 8K, ultrawide and 120 FPS.
