I been using encounter code so far in shinning pearl, but is abit troublesome to take out and in of my sd card, just to put in the individual pokemon encounter code.     The HOLD L for shiny encounter is for wild pokemon encounter, you hold L and walk into grass, that pokemon you encounter will come out shiny. This does not apply to pokemon that you already caught (in your party or box)
