    Well, I solved one problem and created a new one. Seems I damaged the plastic part that goes from the lcd screen to the motherboard. When applying heat, this part came off. We added flux and solder to the points, but still no response. When we hold the ribbon down, it will flash on. Anyone know...

    Looking at the picture you posted. I'm missing pin 8. What gauge wire do I solder to the board and where? Also, do you think I should try taking a pin out of the new 16 pin connector vs. trying to replace it? Thank you all for your help. This is great.
