    The way I understand it, is that SXOS does not need it. As long as you don't insert a cartridge at anytime after or during the update. And if you use emuNand then you don't have to worry about AutoRCM since it will always boot into your OFW(<4.0).

    I'm getting ready to update my SXOS emunand from 3.0.1 to 6.2. From all that I have read, i've not seen anyone say this, so I just want to be sure. Am I correct in that AutoRCM isn't needed if im only updating my emunand? As I don't see how any fuses can be burned if I'm not messing with OFW.

    although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)

    If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.

    and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
