Hacking TX Announces SX OS v1.5 with 'even more features'

The only reason .3ds fell to the wayside is because there was never any effort put into making a .3ds launcher that could work without additional hardware. As far as I know, they were really only usable on Gateway, Sky3DS and various clone carts. Even so, you can still find .3ds rips of pretty...

Hacking Consolidation of news after patch 11.8. What to do / not to do it.

No evidence of tickets being uploaded when you launch a game or play online. Updates have always used update tickets, not game tickets, you could technically download them without even having the base game and you'd be fine. It's all gravy as long as you stop using "eshop alternatives".

Hacking Consolidation of news after patch 11.8. What to do / not to do it.

Wrong. The new verification process only takes place when a request is made to download a game from CDN. It does NOT take place when launching, updating, or connecting to play online.

Hacking Can you still connect to WiFi after backing up your NAND?

You can, but it does kind of detract from the appeal of making a NAND backup currently anyway. Some people have had the idea that they can stay 100% offline after making a clean NAND backup, which they can restore to go back to a clean state at any time. In theory as long as the console never...

Hacking if your sd card corrupts with sx pro is there way get your license.dat back?

You should be able to go back onto the website and get your license.dat again, I don't think there's a limit to how many times it can be downloaded. Otherwise I would suggest keeping a backup. I've got mine backed up on my PC and OneDrive.

    Hacking Question DevMenu Crashing

Hmm, I'm fresh out of ideas friend. Just out of curiosity, is Pokemon Quest installed to your SD card or your internal storage? I've got mine installed internally and I've never had it crash on me, but I've only ever used the install .nsp function. Never even clicked on anything else.

    Hacking Question DevMenu Crashing

Have you attempted to do anything other than installing .NSP files with DevMenu? I've heard that it's very unstable and prone to crashing, but I've never had issues with it myself. Can you try re-downloading/re-installing the title you're using for DevMenu? Maybe also replace the LFS files on...

Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

Filling this out because I'm honestly surprised I haven't been banned yet. Ban? No SX used? Yes SX used while online? Yes Played SX Backups online? No Lowest SX Version used when Online/Offline (NOT Switch System Firmware)? 1.2 Non-TX Layered FS Used? No Non-TX Layered FS Used while online? No...

Hacking Question Possible to setup VPN?

Interesting, I didn't know MK8D had an actual LAN mode like that. Do any other games support this currently?

Hacking Suggestion Will have 3 Switches in total by next week. What should I do with each one?

Keep one to be un-hacked, use one for SX OS (or atmosphere in the future), and hold onto the other one for a few months and then sell it at an inflated price as a "pre-Mariko" unit on eBay.

Hacking Question Possible to setup VPN?

Does the system actually use the LAN adapter for local multiplayer? That would be incredible if it does, but I don't think that it does. I'm almost certain that all of the local multiplayer games on the Switch use the local ad-hoc wireless.

Hacking Question Possible to setup VPN?

Switch local multiplayer uses a local 802.11 protocol, and doesn't actually require or even connect to any kind of a local network. The Switch consoles communicate directly with each other, just like the DS and 3DS did before it. So no, using a VPN will not magically allow you to play local...

Hacking Question Black Screen when trying to boot, new hardware released ?

This is fascinating, although not too surprising. I guess with the release of SX OS Ninty might have started releasing these new revisions. Very interested to see if they're using the T214 SoC, or if they found another way to prevent the payload from being launched via RCM. EDIT: Looks like...

Amazon to no longer offer its 20% off pre-order bonus for remasters and remakes

That's really odd, I wonder if I'm grandfathered in from registering for it earlier than you? I actually wasn't even an active student when I signed up for it, I just used my old community college e-mail that I had access to. I've never once had to submit any kind of verification that I'm still...

Homebrew Question install NSP in Internal Memory

I've installed several small titles to my system memory to save SD Card space, might as well utilize that 32gb of internal storage. They work no problem. You just need to select to install to internal memory in DevMenu, as pictured above.
