    Hardware Cannot start.The correct hard disk was not found

    I took my HDD out of my ps3 and tried to plug it into the pc with my cable for 2.5 sata and then I put the HDD back in my ps3 and it said this Cannot start.The correct hard disk was not found I know what is wrong hard drive failure..... will a new HDD fix the problem?
