I freethewad'ed all three and installed (NTSC-U machine), but only Pokemon runs. Dr. Mario and FF:CC boot you back to the menu.

Also, the channels don't have names (FF:CC has some fake name), so the games show up as blank in the Wii Message Board play history. Does that mean they weren't ripped properly?

Update: All Japanese WiiWare titles work on U.S. systems after the latest Wii Shop update. You still have to use freethewads.

does the pokemon have english?

i'm gonna try all of those later and report but i have a jap wii so well know if it isnt ripped properly

No, Pokemon is in Japanese, and it's a really awful game too. It's funny because Iwata was just talking about how selective they are about giving the Mii license to other developers.

DR.Mario works fine for me on PAL Wii. Apparently Pokemon and Final Fantasy are completely in Japanese so i'm not gonna bother with them for now. Strange how these three all work on PAL but the Ping Pong game doesn't...

japanese?

damn...there goes installing them

but i'll still try them

Dr.Mario has a lot of English in it and is very easy to navigate, wouldn't worry about the other two though.

the ping pong game has an english option

I know some places where the converted to Pal version is already circulating and i know a friend who got Final Fantasy to work too ehehe

Maybe someone told you wrong the infos ?

Still thank you for telling all us that these games have been dumped as i wouldn't even search for them if you didn't tell me

Agreed, the only one that doesn't work on PAL at the moment is the Ping Pong game. It just black screens. Tested all other three myself though on PAL, all work. Seems like some people are getting mixed results somehow though from what i've read on other forums.

Pokemon Ranch is more like a utility like Pokemon Box rather than a game.
Or that's what I heard

It's not a game, as you say ...

Wii with wiikey 1.9g semi-bricked with Okami's update.
Okiraku ping pong installed and played fine.
Dr. Mario and Final Fantasy installed fine, but they reset the wii, after that, the ping pong game just gave me a black screen.
EDIT: Okiraku ping pong is working now, didn't do anything.
