Hacking Rom Injector for VC Titles

Download V2.3

CHANGES v2.3:
-Even more protection against noobs, er I mean user error
-Command line option to force mode
-Command line option to automatically use the first entry found in wad

New usage:
*parameters in [] are optional
injectuwad [mode] [prompt]

mode: 1 = SNES
2 = N64
3 = TG16
4 = Homebrew(DOL)

prompt:y = yes
n = no

CHANGES v2.2
-Noob protection
-Added delay time to ini file for people with cert folder error

CHANGES v2.1:
-Possible fix for "could not find cert folder" error (most likely will not fix 4100 and 1022 errors)
-Code clean up
-Colored output for easily identifying messages

For those of you getting 1022 errors:
Make sure you have the correct common-key.bin in your install folder.

For those of you getting could not find cert folder errors:
Set delaytime=9 in ini file

Amazing effort creffca. If you could work on getting custom graphics for channels you would be my hero.

I thought region was just a bit address? Is it more complicated than that?

Yeah, I located the address, but didn't test it. Is 3 a region free setting, or just PAL?

yeah,3 sets it to region free afaik.. 0 is for ntsc-j,1 for ntsc-u and 2 for pal (not confirmed,but my guess..)

I can't get this to work, trying to place Super Smash Bros in the Sin and Punishment rom results in a wad file being created, but I get a ticket error trying to install it. Trying to inject SNES roms into DK2 appears to work but the wad file created is only 5.1kb.

yeah,3 sets it to region free afaik.. 0 is for ntsc-j,1 for ntsc-u and 2 for pal (not confirmed,but my guess..)

2 and 1 values are right, 3 is the one s&p smash brothers has and they say it makes it region free. 0 is probably what you say.

Gonna try installing a region patched ntsc game and see if it works, if that helps.

Just injected emerald dragon (eng trans) working great. Made own channel with name and region free

got some others working but seems to crash, like terranigma, secret of mana 3

Just tried to region free zelda OOT ntsc and tried on my pal wii and works.

btw I swapped the rom with spanish translated one, but the audio gets messed up...something strange happens.

I have unpacked wadtools and the other stuff in a folder to use you injecter, but I always getting this message:

cannot open common-key: No such file or directory
ERROR: Could not find .des files!

??
common-key is in the dir, but it doesnt find it

Download key here: http://foo.kronicd.net/Consoles/Wii/Other/...ols/0.1/key.bin

Put the "common-key" (without .bin) in a "C:\Documents and Settings\\.wii\" folder.
To create a ".wii" folder you need to create a folder name "wii" then open a command prompt in the "" folder and type "rename wii .wii".
That should work....

I tried replacing DKC2 SNES with Panel De Pon (J). It didn't change anything in the rom.

I'm not sure what I did wrong.
