I bought a new R4 because I'm giving my old one to my cousin.

I wasn't aware that there were 'new' R4's. What's the difference? Just a stronger plastic or just a new colored case?

They both feel the same. There's no longer a spring. The new slot feels like the slot on an SD Adapter.

It just looks cheaper to me. Nice to see comparison though but one of the main selling points for me about the R4 was the build quality, thats out the window now though, glad I've got a old one.

I would've done a comparision shot if my sister didn't take my R4 yesterday.

I can confirm that cheapmod.com supplies the new R4 if people (for whatever reason) wants to order it.

From Gameyeeeah... I gave my old one to my sister.

The MicroSD no longer shows itself when viewing the R4 in the front.

It's a bit of a... B**** to get out though. =P
