So I recently soft modded my Red Wii with Letterbomb and have been using a pathetic 8GB Thumb Drive for my USB Loaders.
I recently earned $50 for some yardwork I did so i thought I would blow it on a HDD for my Wii. This is the one I've had my eye on.

Seagate FreeAgent Go

I think thats the one I am going to go with. But hey, I am curious to see what you guys are using! What HDD are you using? Are you pleased with it? Is it affordable? (Less than $50)

P.S I am aware that the one I linked to has a sleeping issue that can be resolved with a software update.

All the SeaGates I've ever owned have been crap!
They all died, hopefully nothing mortally important was ever lost. For my Wii I chose A WD My Passport 500 GB

Ok, thanks for the heads up.

Not sure if I can find a Western Digital for under $60 though... I'd also like it to be red to match my Wii.

Enjoy yourself, young man!

Yeah I've already made sure any HDD I looked at twice was compatible. I looked at the link the previous poster linked to and they appear to only sell refurbished products. Not sure if I want to go that route...

I didn't really mind. Mine works great and I got it from there.

I'll take a look at both of those. I'm awfully tempted to pick that red Seagate one up.

But I think I'll wait and see if their are anymore complaints about it first.

Wow. That Buffalo one looks sleek! 1TB is overkill for a wii though... So I think I'll take a look and see if they have some smaller ones first.

Edit 2, I'm thinking about picking this one up also... Any thoughts?

I use a 1TB Verbatim. It's an external, not a portable, so it needs a power supply, and it's not sleek and small, but I've never had a problem with it. I also share the same drive with my 360.

I've used these as well to mod a mate Wii, they're tiny and great and work, I know that 1TB is overkill, but for the extra 10 bucks, hell why not.

Thanks! I think i'll pick up the 1TB and make 2 partitions for it. 500GB For Wii stuff and 500 GB for other Random stuff I want to save from my computer.
