Update

GBATemp has received news that the EX4i is indeed a real project. The card will be a mix between the SCDS2 and the I-Player. We have been told by the official team that the card will not be a clone. This new Flash Linker will be an entry into the budget category.

GBATemp was sent some footage of this kit in action. We will attempt to get that footage posted for you as soon as possible.

Other than the initial contact, the list below, and the yet to be released footage, we know next to nothing about this kit. What will the build quality be like, what will the compatibility be like, how often when they update their firmware and loaders? Stay tuned to GBATemp for more news on this product when it becomes available to us.

I knew it was real. The sketchy site seemed like it was a slam at the big N. Since it is the R4 team they are just laughing at Nintendo.

Why not? The Cyclo team made Supercard clones when they first started the flashcart business. And now look the CycloDS is one of the best teams.

Every R4 I've had always turns into pulp, they just don't get along with me. I prefer AceKard, and I want to get the SCDStwo.

however, i hope they won't give excuses like the cart is not doing well and stop supporting it...

As if R4 weren't in enough trouble with Ninty as it is. I'm sure Nintendo will notice eventually that their site is being ripped off, but whatever maybe EX4i will change the site layout.

I find it laughable they have V1.0, V1.1 and V1.2 of their firmware before the've even released it and added download links. By the the time they release it, they will be on firmware 2.1!
