Probably either Sideswiped or M&L: BIS. Sideswiped was just pure excellence and Mario and Luigi just really surprised me. I thought Kingdom Hearts was really quite boring, personally, and even more so for PS0.

Mine is Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Simply because i love Kingdom Hearts and this portable version is a good example that good graphics exist in nintendo's little handheld. The missions are hard alone and with friends, you really have to make sure you level your character a lot or some bosses and enemies will wipe the floor with you.

My Mark - 9.7 / 10 ( the lack of .3 is because it gets repetitive easily and bosses have rediculous amounts of health points. )

Only taking .3 off for repetitiveness clearly shows you're biased, I'll just say that. Many games get terrible scores for the same reason. I was being generous when I gave the game a 7.5 in my review. Did you really like the game or did you just like Kingdom Hearts? Think about that...

I forgot to mention Chinatown Wars in my previous post. That game was awesome.

Yes, i loved the game. i waited for this since its first announcement back in 2007, and when it released, i wasn't disappointed, i was overjoyed!
Also Heart Gold and Soul Silver are great games too, they will definately be my game of the year on 2010 when they release.
My friend Adam likes Chinatown wars a lot, i see him play that at college a lot

I'd have to say M&L BiS. Not only is it a pretty solid game, but it's a huge improvement over Partners in Time.

An honorable mention would go to HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Obviously because you were too hyped. It was like a bank; too big to fail. Even if the game was running down an alleyway beating up monsters you would've had claimed that the "deep combat system and enemy diversity keeps the game constantly fresh, although it can get a little repetitive from time to time". Being as repetitive as 358/2 was doesn't warrant only .3 of a point taken off. It was a small selection of worlds with objectives being so closely identical that it honestly felt like you were replaying missions.

You have your opinion and I have mine, but I just want people to not get so wrapped up in their hype and fanboyism. Games shouldn't be judged on the game, but on the content. You should take a game as only that game, not as part of a series or part of something popular. If you don't, you'll be blindly following anything that's thrown out there by developers, kinda like Capcom and Megaman.

There are a lot of games that I would call my GOTY, but GTA would probably come out top.

While people say it was overrated, I do think it's fresh air for the DS, and the sandbox gameplay itself is great, with some replay value just rampaging through the city, while still being quests that you can redo. Like the presnetation and the graphics as well, the audio wasn't bad too, I loved all of the radio stations not just the rock one.

After that, it would probably be Mario and Luigi RPG, innovative and just great fun.
