I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to set up sneek 0.1 when I got a copy of it, and many people out there seem to be having trouble with it as well, so I thought I would detail exactly what I did to get it running in the hopes people might find it useful for future versions when its released. I know its supposedly illegal to have right now, its also a bit on the slow slide and a little freeze up happy so I don't recommend actually using it in its current state anyway, but for academic/educational value here's how I did it:

1. I made a NAND backup with Simple FS Dumper 0.1 that I found here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=170367
2. downloaded IOS 60 with NUSD with the decrypt option on http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader
3. Opened the folder IOS 60 was downloaded to, deleted all of the encrypted files (not ending in. app)
4. Using a hex editor (HxD in my case) I looked for 00000001-0000003c inside the tmd.6174 and cetk file and changed it to 00000001-000000fa
5. Also using HxD I deleted the string 00 00 00 04 00 04 80 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 2A 88 2E 51 D7 C3 DC 5B 6A D8 98 36 2A 9F 5A 53 09 A6 3C 91 19 42 from the tmd.6174 file (this is the SD module)
6. Using the goto feature of HxD I went to location 1DE and changed the 00 0F to 00 0E (this is reducing the content count by 1)
7. I copied 0000000e.app to the sneek folder and renamed it 0000000e
8. Using a command prompt I typed in "elfins.exe esmodule.elf 0000000e tmp.bin" followed by "elfins.exe fsmodule.elf tmp.bin 0000000e.app" and finally "boot2me.exe 0000000e.app boot2.bin"
9. Copied the newly made boot2.bin to the root of my SD card
10. Copied the bootmii folder included with sneek to the root of my SD card after backing up the existing bootmii folder
11. Copied everything in the downloaded IOS 60 folder to /title/00000001/0000000fa/content/ on the SD card (this is IOS 250, in my case it overwrite the IOS I had there and I had no problems)
12. Copied the 0000000e.app file in the sneek folder to this location as well (overwriting the existing file)
13. Renamed tmd.6174 to title.tmd (overwriting the one there if necessary)
14. Renamed cetk to 000000fa.tik and moved it to /ticket/00000001/ on the SD card (again overwriting an existing file if necessary)
15. Put the SD card in the wii, and bootmii booted the NAND from my SD card! (be patient it can be slow)

Hope this helps!

Hi, Can you please show me how I can find the 00000001-0000003c and 00 00 00 04 00 04 80 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 2A 88 2E 51 D7 C3 DC 5B 6A D8 98 36 2A 9F 5A 53 09 A6 3C 91 19 42. This is the first time i use Hex editor, so please be patient with me. Thanks for your help in advance. Cheers

Followed this to the letter (as with the original readme) and still getting black screened.
Could this be an SD problem? Or does the system version matter?

I double checked everything and all seems to be in order.
Running on PAL 4.1 and using a 2G microSD with adapter.
Gonna try switching all to a 16G SDHC to see if it matters.

EDIT: Switching all files/folders to my 16G SDHC didn't help.
I guess either my dump is bad, or both my SD cards aren't that compatible with SNEEK.
Now hoping for a quick release of V2

You should read up...

1) There are several reports that SNEEK v1 is a bit picky...it works on some Wiis with some Dumps, but not always. Even if you did everything right. Wait for v2, this will maybe fix this.
2) SD-Compability can also be a problem. But I guess your problem is 1).

Two questions:

1. What are your system specifications? I followed the guide and got a blackscreen; perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my NAND dump has a preloader install on it.

2. In step 11 you say the following:

Does the 000000fa folder really have 6 zeros or 7 zeros? That may be a typo.

Not entirely accurate: As long as the dump is not corrupt it should work on any Wii. The only problem is the low compatibility with SD cards (because of LibELM).

This topic should be locked and these intructions removed, as SNEEK is illegal. But seeing a GBATemp supports piracy and illegality (despite what it claims) it wont be.

Yeah, how about you shut up and sit in your corner? Time out time for you.

SNEEK, in its current form, is illegal. And if you had the least bit of respect for other people's work, you wouldn't use it.

Closed for now. Good information but we better wait for v2 which hopefully and probably will be legal.
