<b>Decided to help Hadrian out a little since my time isn't important, I don't mind doing a thread for this week, but don't expect the same quality as Hadrian's threads. Sorry about the lack of Wii write ups, they just don't interest me that much due to my lack of Wii at the moment. Feel free to point out any and all mistakes (especially if I've got dates wrong) because I'm dumb.</b>

<!--quoteo(post=2277849:date=Sep 25 2009, 02:42 PM:name=Hadrian)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Hadrian @ Sep 25 2009, 02:42 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=2277849"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--><!--coloro:red--><span style="color:red"><!--/coloro--><u><b>Please Read Before asking When A Game Will Be Dumped:</b></u>
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they <b>make </b>dates up for pre-ordering purposes so not all can be trusted. These dates could also be <b>"shipping dates"</b> which usually means that that's the date when games get <b>shipped </b>to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or <b>after</b>.

Some games may get <b>delayed </b>some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it <b>doesn't</b> mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time.

Have patience and remember scene releases are not a right but a privilege.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Some places say this'll be released on the sixth, some places say on the eighth. Received a 25/40 from Famitsu. It's being published by NIS America, so I'll probably play it even if it's terrible.

Not quite sure how to feel about this, one the one hand it seems as though it could be an interesting puzzle game, and on the other hand it's a kids game. Not much information on this I can rip, so have a Wikipedia article explaining what Tangrams are.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Tangrams are an ancient set of Chinese moving puzzle pieces that today entertain and challenge people across the globe. Dating back to well before the 1800’s, these seven simple shapes or “Tans” come together to form hundreds of different figures with multiple solutions. The trailer makes it look slightly interesting, but I doubt I'll be playing it. IGN lists it as having 2 v 2 online play though, so that might make me consider trying it. Out on the 8th and the 9th for Australia and Europe respectively.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Spore Hero Arena for Nintendo DS builds on the success of Spore Creatures and allows players to create fully-3D Spores and take them into battle with an array of other creatures across the galaxy. Players create a unique gladiator Hero creature and guide it from planet to planet as they fight dangerous enemy creatures and complete special missions, collecting new parts and abilities, gaining upgrades along the way. In the quest for combat, they'll seek out to defeat each local champion and unlock special abilities that will benefit their Hero.

By combining special abilities, parts, and upgrades, players create a fighting style of their own in hopes to stop an evil force and save the galaxy. Spore Hero Arena will also feature multiplayer capabilities as players can battle with up to three friends locally or play with a friend over Wi-Fi.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Again, not too sure about this one. Multi platform, and the DS tends to get shafted when it comes to those. Not to mention I'm not exactly a big Star Wars fan, either. Couldn't find a video for the DS version, and all the screenshots I've found have been blown up, and are pixelated as shit because of it. Runs on the same Engine as the first game, so it's probably exactly the same.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Republic Heroes is a game based on the Clone Wars TV series and lets you fight as both Jedi Knights and Clone Troopers through more than 30 unique missions. For the first time ever, you can fight as your favorite Jedi and clone troopers from the preeminent animated television series from familiar faces like Anakin Skywalker to new heroes like Clone Captain Rex. A brand-new storyline, which bridges the gap between season one and two, takes you on a multi-faceted adventure to stop a mysterious techno assassin's destructive plot. Built around two-player cooperative action, the accessible controls and family-friendly gameplay bring Star Wars fans across generations together like never before to fight the evil Separatists and restore peace to the galaxy.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Whilst I've never played the original on the Xbox 360, and seem to be phasing out of jRPGs, I will admit that this does look excellent. Hopefully it'll get a localization. If not, can I smell a translation? Maybe, but probably not a very good one. Again, I can't really find much information worth quoting. Goddamn I suck at this <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />.

From what I've heard it's had the highest score of any SMT game from Famitsu, 36/40. Since I've already hit the quote limit, and the majority of information is spread out across huge articles and I couldn't find a summary, just watch the damn videos.

Shovelware of the Week:
<b><!--sizeo:4--><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->The Biggest Loser<!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--></b>
<img src="http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff40/LawLand/biggest-loser.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /> <img src="http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff40/LawLand/1-1.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Do I even need to say anything?

Doesn't look like there's much coming out for the Wii this week, maybe next week will be better.

The Biggest Loser, eh? The obvious response to a title like that is so obvious that I won't even say it. I will just point out that the one on the right IS a man in drag.

Thanks for doing this weeks, fount it hard to actually want to do it this time around.

A certain someone should look at this and just give up on their "cool nds games" thread because the effort that thread has is less than 1% the effort that Law had given to this thread.

For those interested here are the Wii titles:

North America:
4th October
Wii Fit Plus
Squeeballs Party

6th October
Spore Hero
Shimano Xtreme Fishing
Disney Sing It: Pop Hits
Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
Game Party 3
The Biggest Loser

Japan:
Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

Europe:
Nothing that isn't already out there.

I'll like to try Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey if it comes out in English. Thats it for the week unless word of mouth for the others is good.

Looks like I'll be playing some Wii titles that I've not had the chance to play.

I'm waiting on:
Witches Tale
Spore Arena
Localization of the new Blue Dragon cause it's not the same system as the last one
Localization of the masterpiece, Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey. Oh boy I'm jonesing for this one.

That has to be the freakiest box art I have ever seen..... looks like an 8 year old attempted to make his own robot suit with cardbord boxes, toilet roll tubes and gold spray paint..... I LOVE IT !!

First off, nice job Law. This seems good enough. My only problem is the lack of a Biggest Loser pun, something along the lines of "the Biggest Loser is whatever poor sap buys this game". Otherwise, top notch.

A Witch's Tale looks decent, from the hype (and I've been craving a good RPG). SMT: SJ looks nice, but it's the Japanese release. Devil Survivor was pretty good so I'm having high hopes for this one. The new Blue Dragon game looks alright, although I didn't play the last one because I was sick of strategy games.

I should post this on totallylookslike.com

Just for those who don't know, this is a Cyberman from Doctor Who.

I originally used the acronym tag and placed the name of a member who recently made an ass of himself in the EoF, but felt I wouldn't stoop that low. Maybe I should have PM'd Ace Gunman ahead of time asking if he had any killer puns I could use.

Nice job.

Krome did a bang-up job on the last DS Clone Wars game. Would love to see more action this time around, but either way, I'll be checking out. Also interested in the new NIS RPG, though Nintendo Power wasn't too kind to it in their review.

Well, it is Nintendo Power, though. I find they seem to be rather harsh with third party games and way too soft on first party games. I mean, their Fossil Fighters review was a joke, just for an example.

This next week doesn't sound much interesting, and there's still a lot of games released last month to be finished..

By the way, I was really expecting for Sideswiped's release, but it got delayed (i think), the Majesco website doesn't show any release information, IGN marks the release date as October 22nd, some other sites show September 29th, but Play-Asia still has pre-orders for it... It's really sad to see a really nice game get such crappy treatment from its own publisher.

I'm waiting on....

2 month early retail version Zelda Spirit Tracks
DS Rerelease of both N64 Zelda games
Nintendo Shop Channel for DS Phat and DS Lite
North American Release of all Tales of games on the DS
PSP games ported to DS
PS2 games ported to DS
Portal ported to DS
Bob's Game
and...
That Vocaloid game that has no sign of North American release.
Oh and Dragonology.

So yeah the games listed here aren't going to interest me even 1%.
