I went through all of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box without a problem so far, until the very end.

The game freezes during the final puzzle, the one about the box itself. When the black hole appears, my game freezes.

I had codes on to make my picarets be 9999 the first time, but then I disabled all the codes and tried it again and it still freezes with the codes turned off =(

Oh, and I'm using M3 Real.

:X

Maybe you should get a CycloDS?

OK, sorry.
I myself though it froze until I figured out I had to blow

Kinda twisted idea from the developpers, as you don't have to use the microphone a single time in the game before this last puzzle.

Hah! We AK2 owners have no such problem.

Try turning off all the patches. Missing the ending = whole game was wasted.

Seriously, comments like "buy a cycloDS" and "Hah! We AK2 owners are superior to you M3 Real faggots" (embellishment for serious business is serious

), are hardly constructive.

For any M3 Real users out there experiencing this issue, turn off RTS/Soft Reset and disable cheats. Should get you past puzzle #138.

I can confirm that turning off RTS/Soft-Reset will fix the problem on the M3 Real.

As for the fanboys, don't post if you can't help.

Diabolical. Pffth. They released it to the Americans with that name because Americans are too stupid to know Greek mythology.

Professor Layton and Pandora's Box (EU)

(Canada FTW

If we were too stupid to know Greek mythology, then surely we'd be too stupid to know what the word "diabolical" means, let alone solve all the puzzles in the game.

While I agree that there are a lot of stupid Americans, I think you need to watch the sweeping generalizations you make about us. I could retaliate by calling you a stupid Canadian for effectively derailing this topic after the problem has been already solved, but I'm what you would call an intelligent American. Crazy concept, I know, but we're out there.

Nah, Phoenix Wright was a lot more diabolical. Halfway through the last case, I couldn't continue because I had to use the microphone and I was playing using an emulator. In fact, this was the reason why I bought a flash cart in the first place.

Just quote Canadian Idiot. You have all your lines pre made.

But seriously. Lighten up a bit. Just so you know, I wasn't being absolutely serious. In Canada, it a running joke to make fun of the US in any way possible. If you ever see a US joke from a Canadian, don't take it seriously.

I dunno. Maybe it's because Greece is in Europe so more people would get the reference. But I'd wager that the average American is less well versed in Ancient Greek mythology than the average Brit.

Well, I see where you're coming from. Americans make fun of Canadians as well, but I just don't see why we do. I think a lot of Americans are boorish, cocky, and believe they're superior to the rest of the world, but those are the Americans who make the rest of us look bad. I personally think America is stupid for not adopting the metric system like the rest of the world, but that's another topic in itself.

For what it's worth, the US title of the game is closer to the meaning of the original Japanese title. The original Japanese title was Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako. Directly translated, it would be "Professor Layton and the Devil's Box." In-game it's called the Elysian Box (which means "blissful" or "delightful"). And now the Europeans are calling it Pandora's Box (which, in the original Greek myth, was more like a jar or vase, and not a box--it was mistranslated into "box" by a European in the 1500's). Too many needless names, if you ask me.

We're way off-topic here

I think I'm done posting in this thread.
