Hi everyone. da_letter_a here. I've been working on a project lately and I've finally finished it! Yes you guessed what it is!

I present to you now...

cIOSCORP v3.1!

Here's the README:
Code:
It finally exists!

I, da_letter_a, now present to you all:

cIOSCORP v3.1!

What is it?
It's a software modification for your Nintendo Wii to allow you to
play your backup burnt games via the disc channel without opening
your console or having to use a loader application.

How to install it?
Unpack the contents of this .zip file to your SD card and run the
"cIOSCORP v3.1 Installer" application via the Homebrew Channel,
sit back, and wait.

Does it work with LU64+ consoles?
As it is based on all the latest versions of IOS, theoretically it
should be. None of my testers had LU64+ consoles to test it on, so
install at your own risk.

cIOSCORP v3.1 uses waninkoko's IOS249 rev14's DIP module, except for
IOSes 30, 36, 50, and 60, which have rev13b's DIP module. This is so
Super Smash Bros. Brawl will work correctly (as rev14's DIP breaks
dual layer support).

3.1? why not v3?
cIOSCORP v3 used rev13's DIP module, and that gave #001 error for a
lot of games, so I used rev14's DIP module as soon as it came out.

bc-trucha? cmios?
These are for loading backup gamecube discs. The bc included is the
latest, but with the trucha bug intact (so it can load cmios), and
the cmios is Wiigator's Custom mios (with GC backup launcher in it).

Credits:
waninkokoÂÂÂÂ- made the cIOS249 we all know and love, I used DIP
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂmodules from that to make cIOSCORP v3.1
WiigatorÂÂÂÂ- made the cmios which is used in this cIOSCORP v3.1
WiiPowerÂÂÂÂ- for telling me about rev14's DIP Module breaking
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂDual Layer Support
All of my testers.
Some things I forgot to put in the README before uploading:

1. Requirement: waninkoko's cIOS36 rev7 or above (ability to install trucha signed system content)

2. Even though all the IOSes are the latest version, the trucha bug has been put back into them, and both IOS36 and IOS60 have the ES_Identify patch in them too.

3. If you have preloader installed, make sure the "System Menu IOS" setting is set to IOS 60, If it's not, just load preloader (hold down reset) and change it.

Here's the link to the .dol as posting wads is against the rules (even though MiiWii did it): (just run it and do what it says)
Download

Enjoy!

Same region? I played a lot of NTSC games on my PAL console with an earlier version of cIOSCORP, so why couldn't this work too?

UnseennHero,

Stop testing apps and installs of any kind!
A bad install and some times a bad app can "KILL YOU"RE WII"!
This is called a "Brick" because it makes you're Wii as much fun as a brick. The Wii will never work again!!

Installing BootMii to "Boot2" and or Preloader is the "ONLY WAY" to fix a brick.
BootMii on boot2 is the best protection after you make a NAND aka "Operating System" back up.

If you want help installing BootMii and Pre-loader just ask.

Preloader is no real brick protection.

If you remove the IOS for the sysmenu and/or the sysmenu, preloader didn't work and you can't fix your Wii.

The one and only real brick protection is bootmii as boot2 with an full NAND backup.

No prob. It was great working on this project.

1. I'm not. Works fine for me. As of this post, 15 other people have already downloaded it. I guess that makes 15 other people that aren't scared either.
2. What HiBit said. Just load the .dol and find out.
3. My 4.1E Wii had trouble loading SSBB's banner until I used rev13b's DIP, so this is just to make sure
4. My testers reported that newer games like Ghostbusters worked fine. I personally don't know of any game that both requests IOS36 AND has #002 b error in them (There could be one though, it should load fine though.)
5. This is possible, but rev14's DIP Module just didn't do the job for SSBB. If a game gives #001 error (Don't know of any IOS36 requesting games that do, SSBB and MKWii load fine) just load them through the latest version of Gecko OS.

Pre-Loader is better than nothing..?
Some systems cant install BootMii to boot2 so Pre-Loader is you're next best bet...lol, I dont have this problem tho.

Ohh, Thanks A.

Yes, of cause! But i write it again -> Preloader is no real brick protection!

Preloader could help to fix something if the sysmenu is ok, but if it's broken preloader didn't work.

We all know it if we search in this forum for the simple word "brick".

That's because cIOSCORP v3.1's IOS60 already has the ES_Identify patch applied. No need to reinstall preloader! I Like!

Thanks HiBit,

I guess it depends on you're definition of "Real Brick Protection"

Can Pre-Loader help take a bricked Wii and fix it.
"YES" as long as Pre-loader is not overwritten or deleted at the time of the brick it can allow you to use apps that can fix the Wii.
Can Pre-Loader fix every kind of bricked Wii.
"NO" some installs delete Pre-Loader and if its not there it cant help.

I hope this help my point that Pre-Loader is a must have, it dose offer brick protection.

So you just compiled a text with the link to your slow server into the .dol? Isn't this posting a link (just in .dol form but still against the board rules)? Wouldn't a download from NUS and on the fly patching be better?
And what about homebrew apps, do they still work fine (especially wifi)?
I won't use it, just asking.
