Hacking LU64 fix for LU64+ USERS ONLY

Hi All,

I would like to say sorry again for the unfortunate release of the 2.9.5 pack - it turned out that the preinstaller app was not working correctly but this has been removed from the 3.0 pack and we can assure you that there is no RISK to your wii now. ( other than usual powercuts etc )

This is the LU64 fix currently only for 3.4 (x) that everyone was waiting for - I pulled the way it was set up in the pack and made it nice and simple with wad manager.

Please follow the readme inside and remember these comments from me - DO NOT DOWNGRADE YOUR WII EVER - IT WILL BRICK

DO NOT INSTALL CIOSCORP - This may also BRICK YOU. Please USE a loader for now like gamma or the usb ones that are available online until we provide a safe method to have disc channel loading.

You can upgrade to 4.0, but we would advise waiting until we release 3.0 or you are sure of what you are doing.

This is tried and tested on over 20 wii's with complete success.

Please also DO NOT INSTALL ANOTHER CIOS , i.e. rev 7,8,9, or 10 as this will cause your wii to stop working.

Good, I am glad to see that there is now a good release of this. Sadly, I can't test it because I do not have a LU64 Wii, but I certainly would.

What IOS does this install on lu64 wii's then if you cant install 7,8,9, or 10?

Is it the beta 11?

Its a special CIOS specifically for the LU64 wii's hence us advising that only LU64+ or users of unsoftmoddable wii's install it.

The disc channel loading hacks should all work when the final copy of SoftCorp comes out.

This fix is only for LU64 Wii users ONLY.

The 3.0 pack will still be released in the future once all is working. For anyone who is using SoftMii, this is not relevant to you. This is only for the LU64 + serial number wii users and the other wii's with different serials which are also un moddable from other regions. I will try to compose a list of the different serials I know are un moddable in the near future.

Hope this helps a lot of you LU64 users get back on the scene with your homebrew/loaders/etc....

Also - This has been thoroughly tested so it is deemed safe and confirmed working on over 25+ wiis now.

The bricks that people encountered have all been addressed and the issues resolved so they are no longer present in the 3.0 pack. The 3.0 pack will be out in due course once it is complete. We just wanted to let all LU64 users have the fix now since it works

So Would it be right to assume that the softcorp version will be using up to date system IOS's patched with the trucha signing bug and the DIP Switch?

No, distributing a WAD of ANY nintendo file isn't legal. This pack is illegal, actually, in like three or four ways.

If I recall, even custom Wads are usually based off of existing Nintendo wads and about the only one that's 100% original is the HBC.

hi skar!

i have wii LU64x firmwire 4.0u with homebrew channel installed and i previously installed ios16, 35 and 36.
no signs of my wii being bricked or semi bricked though. i can still play games on it and stuff.

is there any way i can install the LU64fix?
i'm no rush so if not able to i'm just gonna wait for the softmii 3.0.
