What can you customize in Soma Bringer? When I played, it kinda bored me.
Everything. The only thing you'll notice graphically though is the weapons and shields which all have their own models.

Otherwise, you'll have to wait for DQIX which will let you customize EVERYTHING + CHANGES GRAPHICALLY.

nobody mentions phantasy star 0?
ok it's japanese, but the 3D phantasy star games always allow a huge amount of customization.

What about Ragnarok Online DS? It's like the MMORPG, you can choose your name, class, skills and stats + equips...
Disgaea DS is very customizable, you can have lots of characters in your team and each of them can get up to lvl9999 and have different jobs and weapons (guns, bows, swords, spears.. etc etc) and you can recruit monsters

If your thinking about Soma Bringer than it has alot of skill/stat/weapon customization, but as far as clothes.. its just about 5 choices of different colors.
not that special.
But the gameplay and storyline is fannnnntastic!

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl sorta fits in this category. It has a plethora of options when it comes to deciding your pokés movesets. You can attach items to them too, and you can, more or less, control their growth through EV training.

I f***ing love these games

Wow cool, why not also recommend him C++ and Game Maker?

I see what you did there...very clever.

Maybe because RPGMaker doesn't require any knowledge of programming? It simply requires patience and imagination.

Soma Bringer. In fact i was forced to customize my weapons and armors a lot, and the plot is really deep it made remind Xenogears at the end.

In My World, My Way you can customise your character's clothes and weapons, and for your main character you can set each of your body parts to mimic certain creature's, giving you stat boosts/new attacks for every creature you mimic....

Doesnt have a good story tho.
