(I haven't seen this anywhere, and haven't seen the Acekard 2's 4-letter 'id' listed anywhere, so I figured I'd write this up even though only a few people might use it)

- Dump your AK2's ROM using Rudolph's NDS_Backup_Tool

- Copy the created .NDS file to the root of your card, and rename it SoftReset.AK2S
^ (If you don't get the menu in the step below, try renaming the file above using DSOrganize or DSLinux...doing it via Windows might not update the checked FAT table in the way GBA_ExpLoader expects.)

- You should now be able to switch to and use the 'Expansion' menu in GBA_ExpLoader (R Trigger at the NOR menu)

That's fairly old, the newer versions of ExpLoader don't need anything special to enable softreset, as all it needs is akmenu4.nds in the root to work (I did have a DLDI driver problem at one point, but it's been fixed as of late)

I didn't know that! My GBA ExpLoader was in the microSD and the akmenu4.nds was in the NAND, so it wasn't soft-resetting.
Thanks for the info.

carterman, I know that's how it works for the RPG, but it wasn't working here with my AK2...tried using different versions of akmenu4, tried hex-editing ExpLoader to look for a renamed copy of the RPG's loader, etc, so I figured that method was only for the RPG.
