Hacking Problems with Moonshell-Edge-1.71 V2

Well, I am trying to upgrade my EGDE moonshell to the latest version (1.71 V2) I downloaded the moonshell folders from the offical edge website. (edge-ds.cn)

I then extracted it to the root of my USB (F drive) putting the moonshl folder on the root of the USB I formatted my USB and only have EDGE.dat, config.xml, R4cce and it's various folders. BUT TO NO AVAIL D;
It's driving me mad

In these screenies, I have the folders and their contents, help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, your my only hope to play videos on my EDGE.
P.S I've being scouting the internet and have found ALOT of people with this same problem, if a mod could sticky this I'd be mighty grateful.

(Contents of the moonshl folder have not been touched) apart from the extraction of course, lul.\

Well what i did was downloaded the moonshell.zip file extracted it and put on sd card.
After that i could choose the media button in the main menue without problems.
For what u need the r4cce ?

Afaik you only need edge.dat, edge folder ( for cheats and skins ) and moonshl folder.

R4CCE is a cheat code database that is used to store and change cheat codes. I'll try removing it but I highly doubt thats the problem since I've had it before.

Tried, and a fail. I don't know wtf is wrong.
Here is some more details, it loads up normally right? like is

BUT then when it finishes it is frozen like this

EDIT: Possibly it is because I am using winrar to extract? I've heard of winrar damaging some files.

EDIT EDIT: I'm downloading it from the official site, (edge-ds.cn), possibly I'm missing files?
Could I please have a full list of files in Moonshell-Edge-1.71 V2? Including in the moonshl folder.

try using the r4 moonshell thats included with every loaded. see if you get any better results. my edge moonshell works fine though.

It's strange, it used to work for me but after I changed the skin it started the freezeing stuff, even when I deleted it and re extracted the proper folder, it still screw up, can I have the link for the version before 1.71v2 but not 1.71v1 please.

Edit: If it's working for you, stop rubbing it in and please give me a list of the files and their names in your moonshl folder, including custom, skin, plugin, lang0 and lang1

Here's my suggestion for you, Crowbanana:
(This one worked for me... I hope this can help. Let me know if it worked for you.)

*Format your MicroSD (full format, NOT quick format)

*Extract to the root of your MicroSD the following: (you can download these files from their links. I personally downloaded them from the site of EDGE-DS)
--> EDGE-OS-1.42.zip EDGE OS 1.42
--> moonshell-edge-1.71-release2.rar moonshell EDGE 1.71 release 2

*After you extracted these to your MicroSD, don't put anything yet (games, skins, etc.). Put your MicroSD to your EDGE and try it on your NDS.
*Turn on your NDS and wait for it to boot up.

Here are the contents of my MicroSD for EDGE:

Root of MicroSD:

L:\EDGE

L:\moonshl

L:\moonshl\custom

L:\moonshl\custom\lang0

L:\moonshl\custom\lang1

L:\moonshl\plugin

L:\moonshl\skin

Had the same prob,

What you should do is :

1. Format the Micro SD
2. Re-extract all the system files and drag and drop them to there right places
3. And it should work fine.

IT WORKS I AM OVER THE FREAKING MOON WITH JOY, The problem was because traces of the old moonshell were sticking around and fking it up. but a full format worked.

FUCK YEAH
