No official date, but Gamestop has it for February 10, 2009. Is this the game that was getting a translation here on GBAtemp?

oh bummer...We'll have to cancel the translation project at this rate...
Never stopped all those retranslation projects for all those SNES games.
Granted, they were done well after the SNES' run was finished and we really should support rarities like this.

Now, if I recall...the original DS remakes were on two separate carts weren't they?
We're actually getting a better deal if they were.

If this does well enough, we might even see some of the new PC ones get brought over.
Maybe.
Perhaps.
One can hope. ToT

Yes, it's actually good to see that it is getting localized, and in one game cart instead of two as the original Japanese was, I am just sad because we put a lot of effort into this game, especially Psycoblaster...

The official date is February 10, 2009; so says Atlus anyways.

I was actually looking forward to your translation, but this puts a bit of a damper on that.

Edit:
Curse my fingers.

I think you guys should continue the translation just for the sake of leaving things uncensored since most games that officially come out in english usually have something removed or changed.

Another translation bites the dust, huh?

That's why (or at least part of why) back in the golden age of translating teams, people waited to translate games. If doing volunteer translating sucks, having worked on it and that become useless must be worse.

Though to be fair, I am surprised - I didn't much expect Ys to come out in the U.S. Still, wait and see is a better policy once again.
