Then why has only gadget gear been sued? And not Oz mod chips?

Oz mod chips are still selling them...

Is there a legal loop hole?

as far as I'm awhere (whilst probably not that amazing compared to other cards) I know that shipping the EDGE and EDGEi cards is completely legal as the cards come blank with nothing on them if any of the other cards come like this then they are also completely legal to be sold and shipped.

yeah... until you end up with a half million dollar fine... then you might see it otherwise...

Nintendo wants heads... and the legal lap dogs of Australia are giving them rolling heads...

a sad, sad day for free enterprise in Australia... and the dole queue will get that little bit longer...

What alot of bull shit.
If you cant buy them in Australia just buy them from overseas.
Plenty of overseas websites that Nintendo cant touch.
Nintendo are full of shit as they have Carribean Gardens just up from there front door and ppl sell the r4 with games and they do shit about it.
It would take them 5 minutes to walk to the market.
Get serious Nintendo.

Surely if Nintendo wanted to put a spanner in all the flashcart works they would simply release a peripheral with every original game resulting in either having to buy/borrow the said peripheral or relying on hacked versions being required.

Time to start smuggling stuff up my butt!

Okaybutreally, what worries me is this.

They have also been required to file an affidavit by the end of this week identifying all suppliers from whom they purchased their R4 chips.
Meaning nintendo wants to start going after this at the source, which will affect other countries.

Is there a legal loop hole?
QUOTEAustralian site Oz Mod Chips offers a range of products that will modify games consoles, enabling them to access pirated games. The distributor advises consumers to use their modification devices for legal reasons only, such as playing legal copies of games from different regions, using homebrew software, and playing backups of games that have been legally purchased
- quote from the report, i think thats your loophole

I don't think the article states whether it bans or makes any other carts illegal, yet, just the R4, i don't really mind ive got my flashcart and people can just buy them from overseas anyway

fuck this shitty country :\

first they censor _EVERYTHING_, then they try to implement a nationwide net filter, then they ban porn with chicks that have small tits and now they fucking ban flashcarts

I may be wrong but if somethings banned in the country, customs will not allow it to enter the country. iirc.
