As of about a month ago, I now have enough Switches to have an 8-player local game of Mario Kart where everyone gets their own screen. I'm considering getting more Switches for 12 players, but not sure if I should get full-size Switches or if Switch Lites would work. I know 12 players in LAN mode requires an ethernet connection for each Switch. I work in a classroom (I'm a TA), and would prefer it to where I could just hand a Switch to a student and not have to worry about anything else. I think I can do that in online mode and just create a room for the class.

My Switches:
  1. OLED - current main Switch
  2. OLED - bought it for work
  3. Launch model - old main Switch (hackable, but never been hacked)
  4. Launch model - my hacked switch
  5. Switch Lite (Gray) - secondary Switch with my main account, for when I just want to play on a Switch Lite
  6. Switch Lite (Turquoise) - bought it for work
  7. Switch Lite (Yellow) - bought it for work
  8. Switch Lite (Coral) - bought it for work
Don't know what you want to find out but we played with 8 players at work multiple times and it worked quite well if you're in the same room.

Do you have any experience with 12 players? That's my next milestone, but I don't know if LAN or online would be the better way for a classroom. If I can get away with buying just Switch Lites, that would be ideal.

Okay, so I've got 10 of them now. Would have had 13, but I gave three away to friends/family. Gonna budget for at least two more, so I can do 12-player Mario Kart over LAN.

Most Walmart shoppers don't go to Target because they're too triggered over displays of things they won't be buying anyway.

$2 on milk is great, imagine how much is saved when getting an entire cartful... vs the prices at my local ripoff grocery store.
