Though the former has more data points to extrapolate from (whee :D ), both are still at best estimates. Either way...It's time to watch my mailbox more closely now. :)

Did you check your inbox? I checked mine and found a nice surprise inside.
The calculator (Moo's) seems quite precise.

I got my mail! Exactly as Moo predicted (calculated/estimated) it. :D

Was at 18:39 local time...3 hours and 10 minutes prior to this post (probably easier for the readers to know the time in their time zone).
 
Will people please stop ordering their Steam Decks, the calculators keeps placing my estimate back further and further.

If your order has gone through, orders after yours won't affect your place. At best when parts of placed units turn out to be faulty. But there are other effects that can cause the delay. It's not fun, but unless I'm missing something, it's like blaming the people behind you in the queue for having to wait...

I haven’t ordered mine yet, the calculator I was referring to was the ones which are supposed to estimate when you can order, it previously said July 1st but now it’s the 16th.

To use your analogy my post was asking the people in front of me to leave so I can get mine sooner.

But my post was a joke anyway, perhaps I should have included a crying emoji or something. Funnily enough though a different calculator now says I’ll get the chance in late June, which I doubt.

I think I'll reserve mine after Christmas (just in case)
 
I ordered on July 17th 2021 (one day late), It was expected on the 16th of July but, didn't show up till the 17th of this year. Exactly 1 year.

I ordered a 64gb model, had it home for about 2 hours (just playing with it) ripped out the 64gb drive and dropped in a 1tb, took like 20 min to do and re-installed Steam OS.

Only just discovered the Steam Deck group. Finally got my 512GB Deck on Saturday past and I’m more impressed with it than I expected to be. Doubt it’ll help my, too many games, not enough time situation, but as new toys go, it’s a blinder.

had to cancel mine sadly due to funding i will probraby buy mine in a few months when they don't have a waiting list(after Pokemon S/V's release need to get new joycons again too (ugh)
 
As of this post there is no longer a reservation queue, you can purchase a Steam Deck for immediate payment and shipment! In regions where it was already available, of course. Word has it Valve will be opening up purchases from Asia at or near the end of this year.
