Cant Update to 5.5.6

Hi, im trying to play splatoon for the wii u, but it says I need to update to 5.5.6. When i go to update, it says the system is up to date. I know its not a missing update folder, as ive already checked for one and an update folder exists. Does anyone know of any reason why my wii u wont update?

I can't see why Splatoon is asking for an update since the games how old now?? Seems weird but the update in question is USA only which I'll assume you either are or you have a US version of the game?

splatoon doesnt need an update but the wii u needs an update to play splatoon, and yes I do have a US splatoon and US wii u which is why I need the update.

And unless you deleted your update folder when u had mods, I'm not sure what else to suggest

Yep sounds like the update folder was removed at some point then a new one created with the wrong write permissions.

so is there any way to recreate the folder correctly? also I dont live in the netherlands idk why it says that, I live in canada

Yes your profile says you are from NL which is the shorthand of Netherlands lol. If you are from some town who's initials are NL then you should edit your profile with the actual town name otherwise everyone will just assume you are from the Netherlands.

um ok so im sorry for everyones trouble, my console was on 5.5.5 and not ipdating, but I just checked again to go ipdate it, and it was on 5.5.6, im not sure how it updated lol
